AEC TRADE CENTER เกิดจากแนวคิดของ AWC ในการพัฒนาศูนย์ค้าส่งครบวงจรที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในภูมิภาค CLMVT (กัมพูชา ลาว เมียนมา เวียดนาม ไทย) และเชื่อมโยงไปยังประเทศจีน เพื่อผลักดันให้ประเทศไทยเป็นศูนย์กลางการค้านานาชาติของอาเซียนครบวงจร มีพื้นที่รวมกว่า 30,000 ตร.ม. โดยในช่วงเปิดตัวโครงการ AEC TRADE CENTER - PANTIP WHOLESALE DESTINATION จะเปิดพื้นที่ให้ผู้ประกอบการทั้งผู้ผลิต ผู้ส่งออก และ ผู้นำเข้าสินค้า เข้าใช้โดยไม่เสียค่าเช่าพื้นที่เป็นเวลา 6 เดือน

นอกจากนั้น โครงการยังได้รับความร่วมมือจาก Yiwu หรือ Zhejiang China Commodities City Group Co., Ltd. (CCC Group) ผู้พัฒนาและบริหารตลาดค้าส่งสินค้าเบ็ดเตล็ดที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลกจากเมืองอี้อู (Yiwu) ประเทศจีน มาเปิดศูนย์นำเข้าและส่งออกที่โครงการ โดยจะมีศูนย์แสดงสินค้าคุณภาพคัดสรร “Yiwu Selection Thailand Showcase” เพื่อให้โครงการเป็นศูนย์ค้าส่งระดับภูมิภาค ให้ผู้ซื้อจากต่างประเทศได้มาเลือกสินค้าที่ไทย และยังเป็นช่องทางช่วยผู้ประกอบการส่งออกสินค้าไปยังประเทศจีนผ่านเครือข่าย IC Mall ของอี้อู
