這首曲子是包凱里尼所有作品中最著名的歌曲，尤其是第三樂章的小步舞曲俗稱“包凱里尼的小步舞曲”，這原曲是弦樂五重奏中的第三樂章，因為樂曲深受大眾喜愛也因此被改編成各種樂器的演奏版本。
The Minuet is from the third movement of the string quintet in E major , no.5 by Boccherini.The third movement of the string quintet is notably the most famous and is the most performed of all the movements.
ボッケリーニの全作品のうち最も有名な曲であり、特に第3楽章のメヌエットは通称『ボッケリーニのメヌエット』として親しまれており、今日ではピアノ曲にも編曲され、学習者に愛奏されている。1771年に作曲された『6つの弦楽五重奏曲 作品11』の5曲目であり、作品11は弦楽五重奏曲中2番目の作品群となる。作曲時から1世紀後に、突如フランスで有名になったと言われている。
