最近在看莫斯科紳士，背景是1920年代的俄羅斯，在講一位沒落的貴族亞歷山大伯爵，被迫終身監禁在一家奢華飯店裡頭的故事。很喜歡裡面的一段話：“If a man does not master his circumstances then he is bound to be mastered by them. “ （大概翻譯：人若無法掌握他的環境現況，他注定被它們所掌控）

The story is about Count Alexander Ilyich Rostov, who is ordered to spend the rest of his life in the luxury hotel in the heart of Moscow. It’s an interesting story to read during lockdown. I love the idea that we could always make the best of our surroundings.
