Good morning from Melbourne! Remember my 100 cartoon doodles for #ArtforNepal? Charles of Oregon, USA received his piece and photocopied it, and showed me how his beautiful niece coloured it (sharing this with permission, of course)! I loved this collaboration across the oceans with this sweet little one!
Have a wonderful day today! May we learn to see the world through a child's eyes a little more today : )

Spent the afternoon at a cafe drawing these for #ArtforNepal. I'm enjoying it, and getting a lot of ink stains on my hands, but I'm not complaining!
I'm hoping to discover my own cartooning style after this series, so some of these might still look a little 'raw' as I'm experimenting with different styles.
Thanks to the fab Eric Chiang Photography for the photo!

[Update:100/100!!! All spots are filled up, thank you SO much for your support and generosity! Even though spots are filled, I'd encourage you to help donate to the #NepalEarthquake still, as many have lost a lot in the devastating earthquake. If you've sent me email and I haven't replied, PLEASE email me again to let me know. I should have responded to every email coming in!]
87 out of 100 commissions received for #ArtforNepal. Be quick...it's running out fast! I'll be confirming emails until I reach 100, then I'll go to bed =) I'll definitely be talking about this project in the next two conferences I'm attending (one in mid-May, another early June).
xx

About #ArtforNepal:
I'm drawing black-and-white cartoons on A5 sized paper with my sharpies and pens, and all pieces will be signed and numbered (eg, 15/100, 78/100, etc). I'm only taking in 100 commissions, and 100% of proceeds will go to victims in Nepal via World Vision. World Vision is aiming to reach 100,000 people with emergency relief. Please donate a minimum of US$100 for each piece. Last day to submit is this Friday 8 May 2015.
If you'd like one, here's what you can do:
1. make a donation to #NepalEarthquake of minimum US$100 via World Vision here: http://www.wvi.org/nepal-earthquake-appeal
(This is a personal project, but I chose World Vision because I'm partnering with them and I believe and support the incredible work they are doing. Here's a list of charities that meets accountability standards for the Nepal quake, and I'd be happy too if you prefer to donate to the others on this list instead: http://www.bbb.org/…/2015/04/nepal-earthquake-donation-tips/ )
2. Forward your receipt or the email showing your proof of payment to red@redhongyi.com . Payment has to be made on/after 3 May 2015.
3. In the email, include a photo of what or who you'd like me to doodle...it can be anything! Your fave cartoon, a photo of your sweetheart, your dog, a verse...or a surprise from me! I'll draw it in my own style... I'll probably Disney-fy or anime them haha! But just don't make me draw a football team of people cos that'll take too much time...unless you want me to resort to drawing stickmen! Haha.
4. PLEASE remember to title your email "Art for Nepal" and include your postal address into the email so I can mail it to you! I'll be mailing them throughout May, latest by 31st May.
