Have you always had great ideas to improve the lives of LGBTQ people in Singapore but never had a chance? Then there is no better time than now for you to take action!
Oogachaga is inviting all individuals or groups who aspire to make a positive difference to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) community to submit an original idea.
There are no limitations to your programme as long as the resources allocated for it are reasonable and practical, so let your creative juices flow! You are encouraged to keep your idea simple to make it easy to implement, though.
Online submission of ideas starts on 3 September 2012!
Here's what you should know:

'Take Action! 2012' is open to all individuals and LGBTQ formal or informal community groups. Participants must be at least 18 years old and residing in Singapore for the duration of the competition to enter this competition.

Please plan your idea based on one of the following areas (you may plan your programme for a specific population within the community) :
1. Fostering community bonding and cohesiveness
2. Raising awareness on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections and sexual health
3. Promoting a better understanding of mental wellness
4. Educating communities about sexual orientations and/or gender identities

Your progammes need not be very complicated or difficult to implement. They can be a one-off event or a series of events.

The deadline for initial idea submission is 1200H on 12 October 2012.

Participation for this competition and the proposal writing workshop are free!

a. FREE 1-day Capacity Building Workshop (13 October, 2-6pm) for participants to learn about planning and executing effective programs
b. Top 3 winners will win S$500 cash prize each and up to *S$1000 seed fund
