We are on the Singapore Flyer, woohoo! And guess what, we have the whole capsule to ourselves! *cue dancing and laughing and screaming*

Last night was my second time on board the Flyer, the first being a decade ago with my parents and the firstborn who was only one year old then. It was a special night out for all of us, especially for the two younger ones who were experiencing it for the first time ever and were super excited.

Granted, it was dark and the rain had just stopped not long ago so there were water droplets on the glass. Still, we loved the night view of our city and enjoyed every moment of the ride. The kids tried to spot the different landmarks and even attempted to look for our home which was far away, haha. It was also a huge challenge to take a group photo as there was no one else with us and this was the best one we got. Good enough for keepsake, right?

We initially wanted to have dinner at The Food Street but alas it was closed. Thankfully, we managed to get some eggs and toasts before we boarded. The kids were awesome on the trip to and fro, though we had to walk and change trains a couple of times each way. We ended up reaching home at 11pm where we dug out fruits and leftovers from our fridge, and air fried some nuggests and chicken wings as our dinner-cum-supper. It was a fun night out and one that we will talk about for quite some time for sure. See my IG highlights for more.

P.S. I redeemed our tickets using my SingapoRediscovers Vouchers and bought the Flyer and Time Capsule bundle on @klooksg. The adult ticket price was $35 while the child one was $10, meaning it was free for them after deducting the subsidies. So I redeemed $30 and ended up paying $5 only. Yippee!

大家一起 HIGH 起来!

Decided to bring the kids out for a karaoke session to reward myself after nearly a week of solo parenting. Woohoo!

Yup, sometimes they need to do what Mama loves to do instead of always the other way round, right? Well, anyway, it's easy to see that all three of them ❤ to sing too lor!

Luckily, I brought along two extra mics so everyone could have one each and for those three hours, we sang - and ate our takeaway dinner and snacks - to our hearts' content. It's a rare Thursday mum-and-kids night out but hey, there's no school tomorrow for them mah, so must 尽情地玩!

走音 and squeaky voices aside, the most important thing was we had so, so much fun together tonight! Yup, we really let loose and felt free as we sang, danced, jumped, played the musical instruments and laughed together. The girls are seasoned karaoke goers but tonight, I was so thankful and amazed to see that the 3yo totally enjoyed himself too. 不信你自己看 on IG, 哈哈. I hope these moments will stay in our hearts always and that we will always make time for fun.

Wow. Still feeling very high now. And happy. All ready for the weekend with these babies tomorrow!

P.S. It was past 10pm and I asked them if they wanna take taxi or bus. The former would have taken us just 15 minutes. They chose the latter, which we had to switch and somehow waited very long for both buses, and we ended up reaching home near midnight lor. But, we were watching all these clips and they just kept laughing at each other and at me, haha, and I am just glad to feel that love and joy amongst all of us tonight. ❤

We watched Wonder Park last night and it is best described with this new word we learnt from the show - Splendiferous! Yup, I think it means really, really splendid.

Maybe it was after a long day with the kids - we spent 10 hours outside - and I was feeling worn out and a tad emotional, I actually shed tears at the scene when the mum (Jennifer Garner) fell sick and had to go away, leaving June's (Brianna Denski) world cold, dark and forlorn.

I love how the two of them were always so close, letting their imagination run wild together, building models together, laughing and playing pretend in their own mother-and-daughter world - one which felt so real and alive. In the show, June's mother reminded her to "keep the light shining bright", regardless what happens. It's something we all tend to forget and tuck away at times, especially when life gets us down and we become afraid of getting hurt, of trying, of being alone. It's a good reminder not just for the kids, but for myself too.

The characters in Wonderland were cute and engaging, including Boomer the narcoleptic blue bear, Greta the wise boar, Peanut the monkey and ride creator, Steve the porcupine and safety officer, as well as Gus and Cooper the beaver brothers. They were hilarious, they were hardworking, they worked great as a team, they showed us what it means to fight for your passion - in this case, the park they love so dearly - and never give up.

Of course, the ending was a happy one and the kids were thankful to see that. But how many times in real life do we really get a happy ending, I wonder. Nonetheless, our takeaway from this show is to never lose our creativity and be able to play imaginatively, to believe that the impossible can be made possible, and to always have hope that dreams do come true.

Thanks to @uipsingapore for the movie tickets, we had a terrific ride through Wonderland. For those who have yet to see it, do catch the show before the holidays end, the kids will love it!
