Conversation with Lauren on the way to her swimming lesson today.
Lauren: I like swimming but I don’t like swimming lessons.
Me: Why don’t you like swimming lessons?
Lauren: It’s uncomfortable, the teacher pushes me to do things I’m afraid of.
Me: That’s how you’ll learn. That’s how you become a better swimmer. 🏊♀️ If you stay comfortable and keep using the kickboard, when will you ever learn how to swim without one?
The same can be said for other aspects of our life. I’ve learned to enjoy being uncomfortable. To grow, I constantly put myself out of my comfort zone and learn to be better. I keep pushing, a little bit, and a little bit more.
