Oh dear, turns out there's A LOT of yellow patches at the back of my head and in the under sections. My brother kept laughing when he saw me because it's even more obvious in the light. Oliver, why aren't you here in Northern Ireland... This is why you never do your own roots. Don't do it yourself. JUST DON'T DO IT!! Usually I'm fine doing my roots but bleach is a whole different story. I actually coloured it again today and... it's a bit better.... OH WELL! More to life than hair. Serves me right too. Maybe I should just darken it all lol...

It has been just Isaac and I this week. It's been nice having quality time with my son. Good news is, my mum in law is back from Brussels tonight wohoo. Sleep, here I come!!

une 7, 2011- Allen "The Answer" Iverson the 14-year NBA star most notably with the Philadelphia 76ers turns 36 today. Iverson's 36th birthday comes the day after the NBA turned 65 on 6-6-11. The NBA was founded on June 6, 1946 in New York City.

The kid from Newport News was a true renaissance man to basketball. His cornrows, sick cross-over dribble, shooting sleeve, and hip-hop style moves are seen in current stars Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Derrick Rose.

LeBron James is connected to Jay-Z like Iverson was linked to Jadakiss. LeBron even has a multiple of tattoos that some say were influenced by Iverson.

Iverson by all accounts is the all-time most influential player to the hoops and hip-hop culture fusion born in 1984 that is known today as The "Dunkadelic-Era" In America.

Iverson had the second most successful sneaker line of all-time behind Michael Jordan with his Reebok signature shoes. His I3 logo was very popular for over 10-years. Iverson even wore a shoe named "ATR Dunkadelic" for the last played NBA game of Michael Jordan's career on April 16, 2003 in Philadelphia, PA.

Allen was the first pick of the 1996 NBA Draft. A talent rich draft that featured Kobe Bryant, Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, Stephon Marbury, Kerry Kittles, Antoine Walker, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Steve Nash, Peja Stojakovic, Jermaine O'Neal, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Derek Fisher, and Malik Rose.

Iverson scored 24, 368 career points, was the 2001 NBA MVP, 11-time All-Star, 2-time All-Star MVP, a 4-time scoring champion, and was named the 1997 NBA Rookie-of-the-Year.

The 1996 Draft has been considered the "Hoops and Hip-Hop Culture Draft" because the players of the draft were drafted, started, and played their NBA rookie year between the death's of rap icons Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. Many of the media called Iverson the "Tupac of the NBA."

Detroit's Allen Iverson walks into a reprise of his often quoted line.

Allen Iverson spoke at length about the ways hes grown as a person and a player, saying hes willing to make sacrifices to complete his career with a championship as a Detroit Piston.

The former NBA MVP then set himself up Tuesday for an exchange that showed hes mature enough to be the butt of the joke.

I cant think of one that has created this kind of buzz, said Dumars, who has been a Pistons player and executive for two-plus decades. He brings a certain stature with him that only a handful of guys in this league can bring.

The Pistons were close to trading for Iverson from Philadelphia entering the 2000-01 season, but 76ers center Matt Geiger used a clause in his contract to nix the deal.

Then, the Pistons watched Iverson lead Philadelphia to the NBA finals and become league MVP.

Eight years later, Detroit is hoping The Answer was worth the wait.

Iverson does, too.

I want to be the piece that gets us over the hump, he said. Ive done so many things in this league, being an All-Star and scoring champion and things like that, but I havent accomplished my No. 1 goal and that is to win a championship.

The Pistons acquired Iverson in a blockbuster trade Monday, sending All-Star point guard and former finals MVP Chauncey Billups, top reserve Antonio McDyess and project Cheikh Samb to the Denver Nuggets.

This is a big day for us, but I would be remiss if I didnt say how much we appreciated how much Chauncey Billups and McDyess did for us, Dumars said. Much love to those guys because they helped build a foundation to help us become who we are today.

Detroit is desperate for another shot at an NBA title after getting eliminated in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals the past three years following its third championship in 2004 and falling just short of winning a fourth the next season.

We think he is going to fit with exactly what we stand for here, Dumars said. Its all about winning and being in the big dance at the end of the year. Those are his goals along with ours.

I dont think were going to sit here today and make any grand promises, but everybody knows our goals.

If Billups completes a physical and paperwork in time, Iverson will play Wednesday night in Toronto. McDyess and Samb have not been required to report to Denver. Barring injury, the 33-year-old Iverson will make his home debut Sunday night against the Boston Celtics in an NBA game as intriguing as one could be in early November.
