11hrs in deep nature for a shoot. In a small lodge, I found a spider web and a shell of shedded skin of a cicada on the small window, also mud and moss on the sink. They seem like obstacles, but realized that those windows and the sink we humans made are the obstacles within nature and we human beings also could be obstacles from nature’s perspective.
山小屋のトイレの小窓の隅っこに張った蜘蛛の巣と捕らえられた虫の抜け殻。洗面所にこびりつく苔や泥。ふいにそこを「きれい」に拭きたくなる気持ちを抑えるけど「きれいに拭き取る」という行為がそもそも俺たち人間の勝手な価値観からくるものであって、地球にとって異物なのは俺たち人間が作った洗面器であり、そのトイレの小窓だってこと。「きれい」ってなんだろう。地球にとって僕たちの存在理由ってなんだろう。
