有一間跨國大企業要找中韓同步口譯，認識的翻譯社PM找上了我，問我那時間有沒有空，還說正式會議之前要跟韓國主管線上面談，並請我找一個我的同步口譯夥伴，這時翻譯社提出了一個神奇的要求，希望我找的夥伴是「年輕」的譯者，還說希望在四十以下😆天哪我自己都快超過了😂而且台灣的經驗豐富中韓同步口譯老師們真的大都是德高望重的老師年紀啊～

約好了3:30線上面談，面談的主管是該企業韓籍北美總監，負責韓國、台灣、香港等地的業務。總監詢問我跟搭檔老師的學經歷，很訝異台灣的中韓譯者都非譯研所出身，因為在韓國要擔任同步口譯工作的譯者99%都是譯研所畢業的。而且總監說他之前來台灣出差或跟台灣團隊開會時的同步口譯譯者多半是華僑而且年紀都蠻大的(我這時才知道翻譯社提出年紀要求的原因應該是在這兒😆)，他很好奇為什麼台灣跟韓國的狀況差那麼多。

大家應該都知道，台灣的譯研所或者大學推廣部、口筆譯補習班只有中英跟中日選項，所以我一直很羨慕中英/中日譯者好友們都有機會進修。而我們中韓文的市場實際上歷史也比中英/中日短很多，可以說是2000年韓流開始盛行後，市場對中韓文人才需求增加，也才開始有更多中韓譯者投入這一塊耕耘。

我自己就是在這一個最好的時機點加入的，在我之前，市場上的中韓譯者幾乎都是華僑，很少看得到台灣籍譯者，所以我很湊巧地填補了這一個空缺，一路順利地接很多案子並工作至今，累積了各行各業不同的口譯經驗。而在二十年後的現在，台灣市場的中韓譯者主要由華僑、台籍譯者跟韓籍譯者佔據，雖然同步口譯譯者人數依然不多，但初中階的譯者人數眾多，案子很快被瓜分完畢，新人再也不是那麼容易加入了。

很多人覺得同步口譯比逐步口譯厲害、同步比較難，但其實同步口譯與逐步口譯的技巧不同，不一定哪個比較厲害，只是沒有受過同步口譯訓練的譯者不是那麼容易能做到同步口譯需要的一心多用。因此逐步口譯入門比較容易，但逐步口譯需要的記憶力、表達能力、重組能力、邏輯思維整理跟摘要能力又跟同步口譯不相同，同步口譯做得好的人不一定逐步口譯就做得好，同理，逐步口譯做得好的不一定同步就做得好，但當然很多技巧都能相輔相成，可以同時培養同步跟逐步的口譯能力，能互相幫助並成長進步。

因此台灣目前的同步口譯老師多半是經驗豐富的華僑老師們，他們也大都是在累積了豐富的逐步經驗後踏入同步領域的。

我自己是2015 年時，認識的中英同步口譯譯者找我一起做了一場化妝品國際教育訓練的同步口譯，那是我第一次踏入同步口譯的領域，真的是初生之犢無所畏懼，收到邀約就去了，也沒想過自己做不做得來😆而且這場還是沒有搭檔的單人同步口譯，講者講日文，聽眾有聽日文的、英文的、中文的還有韓文的，所以有日英、英中、英韓(變中韓)同步口譯。一開始客戶希望我做英韓同步口譯喔，但我做了之後放棄英韓改成中韓relay，因為發現英韓我腦袋處理速度跟不上。幸好中韓的同步口譯沒有問題。還記得那時候因為做relay，講者說了一個動作要學員們跟著的話，聽日文的學員第一個動，接著聽英文的動，再來是聽中文的，而韓籍學員每次都是最後一個，讓我覺得有點抱歉～
👉印象最深刻的是日籍日英同步口譯老師超酷，她會說「現在腦袋負荷量超過了，需要休息」強制中斷會議，幫譯者們爭取到合理的休息時間，這真的要是經驗豐富的老師才做得到的👍
👉那場教育訓練學員是來自亞洲各國該化妝品品牌旗下的教育老師們，每個都皮膚超細膩年輕的，讓我從此很相信該品牌的功效😂

總之我真的運氣很好地在做了多年逐步口譯之後，也有人不嫌棄找我做同步口譯，不知不覺中同步口譯經驗亦累積好幾年，雖然做的場次沒有厲害的華僑老師多，也是每年平穩地成長中。到目前為止都戰戰兢兢且算是順利完成同步口譯工作，還沒有搞砸過自己的口碑😆合作過的同步口譯搭檔老師也蠻多位的，像這樣有前輩可以依靠真的很不錯。現在有很多年輕的譯者去韓國就讀譯研所，他們陸續畢業加入這塊口筆譯市場，相信以後專門從事口譯工作的人數會更加壯大，而品質也會不斷地提升。

跨國企業韓籍總監表示他這次會面試很多組譯者，明天才會給答覆。雖然不知道對方會不會選擇我們，總之已經盡人事就聽天命囉。自由業接案的譯者就得習慣這種案源不穩定的生活，也要習慣不被挑選上的命運😆不豁然一點就也不大適合做自由業啊～🤣
