中共每日的威脅不能成為台灣人民終日的恐懼。但當我們尋求與印度太平洋地區理念、利益相近國家進行安全合作時，我們必須盡力履行我們的安全職責，而非當方面希望友邦馳援而已。
我們必須在國防開支上投入更多經費，在國家安全問題上進行創新，支持我們的軍隊，例如增加對退役退伍軍人的支持和福利，為我們的軍士官提供更多元且具備挑戰的教育機會，更經常地進行裝備的革新，坦率地說，所有這些這些問題需要在今天而不是明天解決。
The Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Former United States National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, and other concerned diplomats and politicians are all aware of the tension that is growing within the Taiwan Strait.
I was recently interviewed by Swedish press outlet Dagens Industri and also addressed this issue. The CCP’s everyday threat cannot become an all-day fear for the Taiwanese people. While we seek security cooperation with like-minded countries across the Indo-Pacific, we must always fulfill our security responsibilities to the best of our abilities before looking abroad.
To that end, we must invest more in national defense expenditures, be innovative in national security issues, support our armed forces, increase support and welfare for retired veterans, work on education opportunities for our non-commissioned officers, and frankly speaking, all of these issues need to be addressed today, not tomorrow.
