夏天雖然不是鰻魚的時令季節，但日本人就是喜歡在盛夏吃鰻魚。這間米芝蓮一星店子本是日本料理店，但每年七月當夏天開始，店子會將「うなぎ」貼出來，代表可以在這裡吃鰻魚會席了。

店主兼大廚丸山氏曾在「東京竹葉亭 札幌店」工作過五年之久，於1996年開立自己的日本料理店時也會在夏天供應拿手的鰻魚。不少食客也會為止專程而來，當然也會包括我。

鰻魚會席（うなぎ会席）由幾款前菜打頭陣，這裡的其中一道招牌菜「15種の季節の野菜のおひたし」。鰻魚飯跟東京竹葉亭風格相似，也是江戶前做法。就是鰻魚先蒸而後炭火燒。這樣做的鰻魚肉質較鬆軟，而在上汁及加熱的技巧及火候的要求就更高。這裡的鰻魚總能做到肉質口感酥化而燒汁的味道恰到好處，外層焦香而沒有多餘殘留的醬汁。

最後當然少不了的就是一碗加入鰻魚肝煮成的味噌湯，在這裡吃罷鰻灸，往附近的円山公園又或是北海道神宮走走，或者附近也有幾間不錯的咖啡店，再去吃個下午茶也很不錯。
