The #Taiwan 🇹🇼 Technical Mission in #StKittsAndNevis 🇰🇳recently harvested a crop of Taiwanese corn they introduced to the Needsmust farm as part of a natural disaster mitigation trial. This project, carried out in cooperation with local farmers, will help the country defend its agricultural sector from the risks posed by climate variability.

Taiwan Technical Mission in St. Kitts and Nevis has introduced Taiwanese corn variety and planted in Needsmust farm for crop natural disaster mitigation trial. The Mission has cooperated with local farmers during trial and exchanged experiences from time to time. Taiwan Technical Mission will continue to introduce Taiwan’s crop mitigation methods to help St. Kitts and Nevis enhance the agricultural adaptive capacity under climate variability.

玉米大豐收!!!!
中華民國駐聖克里斯多福及尼維斯技術團引進台灣玉米品種於Needsmust農場進行作物防減災試驗(crop natural disaster mitigation trial)，由技術團成員與克國農民一同合作進行玉米防減災技術試驗栽培，藉由實際的防減災技術施作與成果觀察，並與農民交換防減災技術施作心得，使技術團成員能更清楚地制定出符合當地農民耕作習慣的作物防減災技術來減輕農民面對天然災害時的災損。未來技術團將持續引進台灣作物防減災技術，改善克國農業因應氣候變異的調適能力。
