In my debut book, "The Truest Stories Ever Written by MMG”, I wrote about my own experiences --- not just the good ones, but also the bad ones, and even the terrible ones. Some experiences I wished I never went through, painful as they were because no one likes to relive the moments they felt weak.
Sharing your own stories is not as easy as writing your best Instagram caption. In the process, you stir up a sea of memories by delving into your inner thoughts, according to 'Inside Out'. You find the fragments of the past and the shards you find, even though rusted, are still as sharp as the first cut. Scars are revisited and wounds are cut open again. As I put the pieces of the past together, I hesitated - 'Am I inviting the world to laugh at me? I mean I am naked in my book, literally. But I feel even more naked to let the world see the worst part of me.'
To my surprise, I found that sharing my weakest moment did not put me to shame. When the book was released, the feedback I received was all about how my stories inspired my readers, and how my book empowered them. The power of literature - It can turn someone's weakest moment into the strongest remedy for someone else.

現在多了作家身分的馬教練，自然要肩負起推動香港文學文化的使命。#香港國際文學節 邀請我推介一本我喜愛的書，最近all in推出的《英文寫真》，當中除了零下10c兩點盡露，去紀錄自己body的巔峰狀態，我亦用文字去紀錄自己大大小小的血淚史，令我對寫作有小小的感想，籍此想跟大家分享。
去分享自己的故事絕對不是容易的事，你要把自己的經歷在原本平靜的腦海中往海底翻土，把散落四周的碎片一塊一塊地撿起來，然後然後發現每塊碎片依然鋒利無比，滿手傷痕地拼砌後寫成一個故事，再把寫成有血有淚的文字公諸於世，給我們這些陌生人窺探他們的生命中的插曲，當中的勇氣更加值得人去欣賞。
我推介這本 50 People, 50 Stories. I AM ASIAN. 收錄了50個來自世界各地不同的亞洲人50個關於自己的故事，雖然他們已經是二、三代移民，但外國人總對亞洲人有着嚴重的stereotypes，矛盾亦來自於自己傳統亞洲的家庭和接受外國教育環境下長大的自己，當中包括種族歧視，追夢的困難，出櫃經歷，移居的煩惱，面對自己生命中的創傷，學去接受和愛自己的過程等等。
50位亞洲作者用的文筆都是最真實的文字，沒有刁僑扭擰的修辭手法，每一篇都像他們日記中撕下來的最重要幾頁。而我覺得最特別的是，每個故事的結尾都有作者的聯絡方法，他們都歡迎任何對故事有共鳴的朋友聯絡他們，更加讓我感受到，每一個都是活生生的故事。
