When I announced the new Patreon Bible Study series “All Things Made New” last week, I didn’t realize that this series about God’s restoration would parallel what is going on in the US now where things are shaken up, and dark, dirty areas are being exposed to the light.
When the Holy Spirit first revealed the words “All Things Made New” last month, and that the series would be about restoration, I was thinking, “Huh, really? That’s not very new. It’s something I’ve written about before.” But God has shown how “restoration” is really the focus in this season.

I quote from the first issue:
“No matter what terrible things have befallen you, let them be forgotten. God is going to do a new thing in your life that will restore you from all the losses you have suffered.
In this new season, you will experience some friction. Let me illustrate with an analogy: it is like you are cleaning your house and removing things from their usual places in order to reach the dirty spots that have trash and grime. It is troublesome, tiring and uncomfortable, but the result of the cleaning is a beautiful, comfortable, and sparkling house.
Things will be shaken up in different areas of your life, but they are not to harm you, but actually to prosper you through restoration. Neglected areas of your life that have gathered cobwebs will be exposed to the light and given a thorough wash.
God is going to do a new thing in your life—something you have not seen before. The restorations will come in ways that seem impossible, but that is the style of our God who makes rivers run in the desert.”
For this season, the Holy Spirit is saying that God wants to prosper you in all things through His restoration. I believe this is true for the world, the US elections, and also on a personal level.
Don’t be afraid when things are shaken up now. It’s going to be a rocky and rough road. Areas of flaws will be revealed by the light and then cleaned up by God. The end result is going to be beautiful!
