I loved this night. I used to party so much, the letting loose and trashing yourself kind of partying. Every weekend, ah maybe every night is more honest. Taking stock, my life is so different now. I’m committed and still occasionally party with amazing people. No moderation needed, as I’m an all or nothing girl, so I still bring my 100% joy and commitment to every dinner, every conversation, every connection but don’t need a drop of alcohol to fit in, loosen up or get high, not to mention no hangovers or nausea the day after and the loathing that has intensified when I look into the mirror or the constant blurring and numbing of life that happens no matter how subtle it is. I have no judgement on anyone who drinks, but the choice of life sober is one of the best choices I have ever made.
