【不瞎掰流行語 ─ 「被二一」英文怎麼說？】
期末考終於在上週結束，大家考得如何呀？是不是被擔心被二一呢…
莉比以前大學的時候，也是為了不要被二一而臨時抱佛腳，或是找學霸朋友惡補呢…（遠望
被二一 = flunk out
A: Are you studying? I’ve never seen you study.
B: Yeah. If I fail one more class, I’m gonna flunk out.
A. In that case, you’d better start boning up!
欸：你在念書啊？我從沒看過你念書！
壁：對啊。如果我在被當掉一科，就會被二一。
欸：既然如此，你最好開始臨時抱佛腳！
flunk out 是指成績太差被學校踢出來，在台灣稱為「被二一」，即「因二分之一的學分不及格被強制退學」。儘管各校及格門檻不同，但「被二一」已經是固定說法。有些人實在讀不下去，或是有其他原因而自願退學，英文則是說drop out。

A: I’m about to go to the library and hit the books. Why don’t you come with me? I can help you with some of the important concepts.
B: That’ll be great.
