EU ทำการอนุมัติหนอนนกให้เป็น

"อาหารปลอดภัยสำหรับมนุษย์ได้"

นี่คือข่าวทางอาหารที่พ่อบ้านว่าน่าสนใจไม่น้อยเลยทีเดียว เมื่อ EFSA หรือ European Food Safety Agency ซึ่งมีสำนักงานใหญ่อยู่ที่อิตาลี ได้ทำการอนุมัติให้ Mealworms หรือหนอนนก เป็นแมลงชนิดแรกที่สามารถนำมาปรุงเป็นอาหารของมนุษย์ได้

ซึ่งการอนุมัตินี้จะมีผลให้สามารถจำหน่ายหนอนนกในยุโรปได้ทั้งในรูปแบบเป็นตัวหรือรูปแบบแป้งในการใช้ประกอบอาหารชนิดต่างๆ เช่น พาสต้า, หรือขนมขบเคี้ยว

โดยหนอนนกนั้นถือว่าเป็นอาหารที่อุดมไปด้วยโปรตีน ไขมัน และไฟเบอร์เป็นจำนวนมาก และหนอนนกนั้นถือว่าเป็นแมลงสายพันธ์แรกที่ได้รับการอนุมัติอย่างเป็นทางการจากสายพันธ์แมลงที่กำลังตรวจสอบอยู่ใน 15 สายพันธ์

ซึ่งแมลงนั้นถือว่าเป็นอีกทางเลือกหนึ่งที่มีการพูดถึงเป็นอย่างมากในการแก้ปัญหาความหิวโหย และความมั่นคงทางอาหารของโลก และในปัจจุบันก็เริ่มมีผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ผลิตจากแมลงออกมาแล้วในหลายๆ ประเทศ

หลังจากในสัปดาห์ที่แล้วประเด็นใหญ่ที่เป็นที่ถกเถียงไปทั่วจนก่อให้เกิดกระแสสังคมไม่น้อยในยุโรปก็คือการเกิดการแพร่ระบาดของไวรัสในฟาร์มมิงค์​

จนมีความกังวลจะทำให้เกิดการกลายพันธุ์​และเป็นอุปสรรคต่อการพัฒนาวัคซีนต่อสู้ไวรัส​ ดังนั้นรัฐบาลจึงได้ตัดสินใจในสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมาว่าจะทำการฆ่ามิงค์ทุกตัวในประเทศกว่า​ 15-17​ ล้านตัว​ในประเทศ​

ถึงแม้ว่าเดนมาร์ก​จะเป็นผู้ผลิตสินค้าจากมิงค์รายใหญ่ของโลกเพื่อทำการส่งออกไปยังที่ต่างๆ​ โดยเฉพาะในจีนและฮ่องกง

แต่วันนี้ได้มีการยืนยันแล้วว่าคำสั่งดังกล่าวนั้นไม่สามารถทำได้เพราะขัดต่อหลักกฎหมายของประเทศ​ จึงทำให้แผนการที่จะสั่งฆ่ามิงค์ทั้งหมดในประเทศต้องถูกระงับ​ และเปลี่ยนเป็นฆ่าเฉพาะตัวที่ติดโรคแทน

เดสตินี 2 (Destiny 2) is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. It was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017, followed by a Microsoft Windows version the following month. The game was published by Activision until early 2019, when Bungie acquired the publishing rights to the franchise. It is the sequel to 2014's Destiny and its subsequent expansions. Set in a "mythic science fiction" world, the game features a multiplayer "shared-world" environment with elements of role-playing games. Like the original, activities in Destiny 2 are divided among player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) game types. In addition to normal story missions, PvE features three-player "strikes" and six-player raids. A free roam patrol mode is also available for each planet and features public events as well as new activities not featured in the original. These new activities have an emphasis on exploration of the planets and interactions with non-player characters (NPCs); the original Destiny only featured NPCs in social spaces. PvP features objective-based modes, as well as traditional deathmatch game modes.

Players assume the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth's last safe city as they wield a power called Light to protect the Last City from different alien races. One of these races, the Cabal, led by the warlord Dominus Ghaul, infiltrate the Last City and strips all Guardians of their Light. The player sets out on a journey to regain their Light and find a way to defeat Ghaul and his Red Legion army and take back the Last City. Like the original Destiny, the game features expansion packs which further the story and adds new content and missions. Year One of Destiny 2 featured two small expansions, Curse of Osiris in December 2017 and Warmind in May 2018. A third, large expansion, Forsaken, was released in September 2018, beginning Year Two with an overhaul on gameplay. The base game and the first three expansions were packaged into Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection. An annual pass was also available alongside this release, containing three premium content drops for Year Two. Year Three will begin with the large expansion, Shadowkeep, scheduled for October 2019 as a standalone release, not requiring the previous expansions to play. Alongside the expansion will be a version of Destiny 2 called "New Light", a free-to-play re-release of Destiny 2 and the first two expansions.

Upon release, Destiny 2 received generally favorable reviews from critics. The game received praise for its many improvements over its predecessor. The original Destiny received much criticism for its story, but Destiny 2 was praised as having a "more robust story" and an actual fleshed out villain.[3][4] As with the original, gameplay for the most part was also highly praised. Reviews were split on the recategorization of the weapons and the newer activities like the Adventures and Lost Sectors, but praise was unanimous on the exploration of the game world. Changes to PvP were welcomed by some reviewers, though others were critical for the mode lacking player choice. Destiny 2 was nominated for and won various awards, such as at The Game Awards 2017 and Game Critics Awards.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world Action-adventure video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in September 2014 and PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2014.

An original story set in the legendarium created by J. R. R. Tolkien, the game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The player controls Talion, a Ranger who bonds with the wraith of the Elf Lord Celebrimbor, as the two set out to avenge the deaths of their loved ones. Players can engage in melee combat, and utilize wraith abilities to fight and manipulate enemies. The game introduces the Nemesis System, which allows the artificial intelligence of non-playable characters to remember the deaths of the game's protagonist and react accordingly.

The game's development began in 2011. In order to create an accurate environment and be consistent with Tolkien's books, the developers consulted several people from Warner Bros., as well as Peter Jackson, director of the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. They also received assistance from Weta Workshop, who advised on the special effects. Monolith focused on the development of the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions, while the development of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions was outsourced to Behaviour Interactive.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor received critical acclaim upon release. Most praise was directed at its combat, open-world design, and the Nemesis System. Some criticism was aimed at the game's story and boss battles. Shadow of Mordor marked the biggest launch for a game based upon Tolkien's universe, and would go on to win several awards from video gaming publications, including Game of the Year in 2015. The game was supported by downloadable content upon release. A sequel, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, is scheduled for release in October 2017.

An exhibition of 26 exciting emerging artists in Kent

The University of Kent’s School of Music and Fine Art presents the Fine Art Degree Show 2016 in the extraordinary environment of The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Kent, featuring the work of 26 graduating BA and MA Fine Art students.

Opening with a preview on Saturday May 21st, 1pm-5pm,
with guest speaker, Patricia Bickers, writer, curator and editor of Art Monthly
and music from artist Benedict Drew.

The exhibition is open to all and is free to attend.

Continuing a tradition of showcasing bold, exploratory exhibitions curated by the University of Kent’s Fine Art students, framed by the stunning backdrop of one of the country’s most iconic locations, the Historic Dockyard Chatham, our visitors will encounter a broad range of artistic styles and media, an explosion of imagination and a celebration of art’s potential for society.

This exhibition offers the public a fascinating insight into contemporary art’s most recent practices and processes such as a ‘Grand Design’ home evolved by a hoarder, an oozing conversation with the earth, a system of tunnels, angry letters about Gillingham’s Samurai sent to Medway council, a Dockyard worker’s fall down a well as sculpture, personal Facebook data becomes food, a dream-like exploration of the car industry, hand movements translated into Fibonacci sound, an autobiographical feature length film made on a mobile phone and a performance where the rules of tennis are applied to an exam.

The Degree Show’s aim is to encourage audiences to explore the potential of Medway as a dynamic hub for art, with the School of Music and Fine Art as a major conduit for these activities, positively impacting on the community and offering imaginative suggestions and visionary strategies for cultural regeneration.

As well as involving students from Kent, and across the UK, this year’s Degree Show exhibitors include student artists from Iran, Thailand, China, Russia, Italy, Cyprus, Mexico, Hong Kong, Isle of Man and Ghana.

The Fine Art Degree Show exhibition catalogue features texts by academics across a range of University of Kent Schools: Emily Rosamond, Grant Pooke, Simon Smith, Howard Griffin and Rebecca Hobbs.
Degree Show visitors can attend a wide range of exciting educational activities. Young people attending can also participate in workshops with some of the exhibiting artists. On Tuesday 24h May and Wednesday 25th May Education Days will be held for local schools and colleges. Attendees will be able to view the Show and hear talks from the artists; they will also be encouraged to produce their own artwork in response to their experience of the Show. Visitors to the Degree Show will also be able to visit the Historic Dockyard's thematic exhibition of international contemporary art works, "Of the Sea," a competition (in collaboration with the School of Music and Fine Art) whose jury panel includes Kathleen Palmer (Head of Art, Imperial War Museum), and Victoria Pomery (Director of Turner Contemporary, Margate).
