I felt the same way in “Hibana”, as I did in last exhibition “Tsuyaga”, when the exhibition ended, as if it were the beginning, not the end.
But I was very exhausted, so I fell asleep soundly and slept through a whole day after the exhibiton.
It all started from “Tsuyaga”.
My world.
Errotic pictures, that came up in my mind during my stay in NY.
“This is it”, I thought.
Something everybody has in hi/her mind.
But, everyone is hiding it for some reason.
I wanted to draw it.
I thought everyone would want to see it.
First of all, I’ve got an inspiration from Shunga for Tsuyaga.
In Shyunga, you see man and woman, but I’ve only drawn women’s.
I fused what I sensed as being Japanese during the stay in NY and Japanese cultures to Shunga.
Fro expmple, small cherry blossoms, black color of Black board, gold, red from lips or nails and gold fish.
Japanese erros, implicit expression.
I wanted everyone to use imagination.
As an instance, what would you imagine by seeing the thumb hooked to the undershorts.
Tow and a half years past since.
After going through numerous exhibitions overseas, erotic world is what I wanted to express and draw.
“Hibana” I simply drew what I wanted to draw for.
Rainbow colored sparkling flowers, dropping liquid, ripe round fruits…
I sticked the details about lighting and decoration.
Last summer, I saw the red light district for the first time in Amsterdam.
In the spotlight of red and pink, there I saw ladies dressed in lingeries.
This time I got an inspiration from the scene.
Mysterious, but gorges, the lights that make women look the most beautiful.
see through curtains.
A light purple smoke stree in the ceiling.
Rhinestone and lame I applied to my drawings shined even more through the curtains and the smoke trees made a mysterious shadow.
Girl’s secret
How do you live the moment of a beauty?
The beauty that will wither and scatter eventually.
I have drawn many goldfishes in “Tsuyaga” and “Hibana” so far.
At first, I draw it because it resembles “Yujo”, courtesans, who,
in a limited place, they can only live with wearing red red dresses.
that was the reason.
But I noticed that.
It actually resembles me, who had been working in the entertainment business since a child.
And the goldfish, that is trapped in a glass,
was dreading of getting out to the blue sky staring from small world, to the outside of the glass one day.
My story has just begun .
I know there is no eternity.
Shadow gets bigger and bigger as it gets more spotlights.
I draw both of the shadow and the lights.
I sell the moment of beauty,
strength, ephemeral, fragility, and absurdity of women
And greatness.
Sealed such things
I hope you see in my arts.

Created this 'Flush-look' which is perfect for beach vacation or even spring using products from ETUDE HOUSE Malaysia
❤ For base,
After applying foundation, apply PLAY 101 Contour Duo Stick #2l as both contour and highlight on nose and jawline. Surprisingly, the contour duo stick turns from creamy to powdery texture.
After contour and conceal, set the makeup using PLAY101 Setting Powder #02. I love how the application as both powder and brush comes in ONE! Super convenient and not much residue upon application.
❤ For eyes,
Using PLAY101 Multi-pencil in #5 as a base to create depth on the eyes socket and #31 on the outer corner of the eyes. Instead of using eyeliner, use #19 to draw a wing liner and blend with a brush, in order to create a softer look.
❤ For blush,
Use #31 to create a flushy look on cheek towards the lower eyes. No worries, the pencil comes in a creamy gel texture, glide-on skin effortlessly and easy to blend. Buidable layers can be created too for much intense look.
❤ For lips,
As the overall look are quite soft, I apply PLAY Multi-pencil #31 fully on the lips to create a bold look.

HAIR
As you can see I have very thick bangs! See through bangs are a big hit in Korea right now. I’ll part my hair in the middle and pin excessive hair from my bangs to the side and curl them while I do my makeup. With this trick I can have bangs to match my makeup!
FOUNDATION
Next Ill get my foundation and mix a pea sized amount of sunscreen into it before applying. Voila, we have created BB cream! You can also buy BB cream at the store if mixing it is too much of a hassle, but either way, since BB cream originated in Korea it is has gained popularity as a more natural looking option to foundation and it’s a must for this look.
CORRECTOR
I am using PERIPERA’s lavender and mint corrector instead of my usual cream corrector. They melt into your complexion like butter on pancakes. Lavender goes to the dull parts, and green goes to all those red blotches. Even after covering my face with it, I don’t feel the need to use any setting powder!
CONCEALER
For a natural look like this I like using liquid concealer, for all the spots I couldn’t make disappear with the correctors before.
POWDER
This lightweight, perfumed powder is from last years JILL STUART limited edition Christmas coffret – they do have highlighters and powders but this exact product is not on sale anymore! Im using it to create a base for the eyebrows and eyemakeup. As you can see, its almost invisible!
EYESWhile this looks like a lip tint or a nail polish, it’s actually a cheek cream! Ill use this for both my eyes and cheeks. For the eyes, one dab blended up to the browbone should be enough.
Then Ill get an equally creamy eyeshadow and add it to the lids for depth.
Finally, Ill use revlons crème brulee colorstay as a highlighter! Its great for lightening other colours or as a stand alone eyeshadow!
I draw a thin line extending my upper eyeline, creating the illusion of longer eyes. This may be off topic but in Korea its popular to elongate eyes, and in Japan its trendy to for a round eye shape!
CHEEKS
Its good for times when you’re NOT using powder and going for a natural look. Without powder Crème De Cheek spreads smoothly and the colour will look like it’s part of your skin. And if you use it on top of powder the cream will absorb the moisture and get all crumbly!
EYEBROWS
For this look I went for sharpie eyebrows, so I got the darkest eye pencil I could find at the drugstore, drew two rectangles above my eyes and filled them in generously.
LIPS
Etude Houses Rich Vivid tint is a like a lip gloss in terms of consistency, making it easy to apply! Once dried on the lips it looks just like a lip tint. After applying some on the center of my lips, I draw an outline with concealer and smudge it to create the trademark lip tint gradation!
EYELASHESThese eyelashes are two third the length of normal falsies, and about the same length as my natural lashes. Applying this will help me
HIGHLIGHTER
The last touch is going to be liquid highlighter – I apply a dap on the highest point of your cheekbones and lips. Enough to make my skin look hydrated – but not too much that it’d look oily!
FINISHED
The 3 most important parts of Korean makeup that differentiates it from other makeup looks are the straight brows, no makeup skin and light cheek color. This look should help you achieve the cutesy yet grown up atmosphere that comes with the Korean style, and not of couuurse, not to actually look Korean! See you soon! Bye bye!
Since this look requires straight eyebrows, I shaved mine off so that theyre easier to shape!

Before applying any makeup, clean your face with warm water and take back any hair with clips or even more practical, a big headband like this one here.
As for the 1st layer of makeup, the base, we’ll use a primer to minimize the amount of visible pores. A good primer should be lightweight, and hardly noticeable but still enough to cover small blemishes and create an overall smooth complexion.
Once prepped we can move on to the main part, shading. Instead of normal foundation we’ll use 2 types of stick foundation, one about 3 shades lighter, and the other 3 shades darker than your skin tone. Shading really is just a way of applying foundation while manipulating shadow and light to emphasize or change your facial features. Now I’ll show you a way of applying shading suitable for cosplaying manga style characters.
Use the highlighting stick to cover the area from your inner eye corner, cheekbones and up to your temples.
Now, highlight your forehead. The fun thing is that you can draw any shape you like because we’ll have to smudge it later anyway. Next, go all along your brow bone and let the highlighter meet at your temples again. A thin line on top of your nose, a half circle above your lips and a two finger thick V shape just between your jaw and cheekbones.
On to the darker, shading colour. Draw 2 thin lines above 2/3rds of your nose and close off with a straight line at the tip. Pull a straight line under your lips. Now, follow the V shape with the shading colour, but this time just on your jaw, creating an obtuse triangle shape. Shade the sides of your forehead as well as the outer part of your eye lids.
This one is not foundation but rouge which will help creating a more natural transition of colours when applied on your cheek bones.
Now I’ll simply use a clever shaped sponge with various edges to blend the shading. Don’t pull, just dab gently remember to fit the edges of the sponge to your natural facial lines for optimal contouring.
For anime like lips, blend them out with highlighter and replace them with a thin line drawn with dark brown colour. If you like, lengthen the corners of your mouth as well.
So far so good, but we have to set the foundation with powder for a complete finish!
Apply highlighting & shading powder over the corresponding areas. Translucent powder would create a more natural look, but since this makeup is for cosplay, pigmented shadows are recommended.
When cosplaying it is very likely that you are going to wear a wig. Another handy cheat for a smaller face and bigger eyes is to face lift using first aid tape. I recommend using 2-3 6inch strips, place them on your temples, pull lightly for a mini face lift and stick the rest on your wig cap. The skin around your eyes is sensitive so avoid pulling your skin too harsh, and definitely make sure that the tape your using is hypoallergenic and isn’t giving your skin rashes.
