這是一片令人望而生畏的荒涼地帶。這裡大部分是高海拔的沙漠有白雪皚皚的山峰，稀疏的植被，和海拔1萬4000英尺高原的低溫。印度宣稱擁有阿克賽欽的主權，但是這裡現在由中國控制。

完全是在中印雙方認可的實控線，中方一側發生的，責任完全在印方

６月１５日晚間，一場殘酷的肉搏戰，在中國控制的阿克賽欽，以及印度控制的拉達克中間的加勒萬河谷爆發，據傳有20名印度士兵，遭中國士兵以木棍和狼牙棒擊殺。這是53年來，中印邊境爭端中最嚴重的流血衝突。關於是誰越界和兩軍的死傷眾說紛云，印度電視台採訪了事發當晚倖存的士兵，還原了當天的情況。

箭頭指的位置是位於拉達克加勒萬河谷的第14崗哨，也就是在這裡，這個蜿延的加勒萬河谷中，6月14日中國軍隊入侵印度領土，並且在此前雙方已經同意，不可以駐點的區域設了帳篷。6月14日傍晚7點左右，Santosh上校帶著34名官兵，走到中國設在印度領土的崗哨了解狀況，雙方爆發衝突，中方動手打人，印方以人數優勢，將中方的帳篷燒成灰燼

印度軍方沒有就此罷手。

印度軍方跟著中國士兵，越過了實際控制線(LAC)進入了中國控制的區域，而且深入了中國區域將近一公里。印度軍方的猜測得到證實，在靠近實控線發現有眾多中國士兵聚集，晚上9點 雙方在中國控制區爆發激烈衝突，印方的Santosh上校被石頭砸中，他跌入了加勒萬河谷，雙方打了很長一段路，包括在加勒萬河谷上方的懸崖邊，3名印度士兵當場死亡，另外在加勒萬河谷也找到16名中方士兵的遺體，後來沿著加勒萬河，陸續又找到17名印方士兵遺體，在一夜混戰中，10名印度士兵被中方帶走，但中方也有9人包括官員被印方帶走。在打了5個多小時後，兩方各自收手，印度軍方回到了實控線的印屬區域

中方迄今沒有公布當天的死傷，不過印度士兵對於誰越界的說法，倒是與印度總理莫迪一致。

報導中說到，多年來，美國一直試圖說服印度，成為更緊密的軍事和經濟夥伴，以與中國的野心對抗。《紐約時報》形容，「這是世界最大民主國家制衡最大專制國家的一個機遇。」

中國與印度共有了世界最長的爭議邊界扣除尼泊爾和不丹，與印度東部Arunachal Pradesh邦，還有西邊的喀什米爾都有邊界爭議

爭議全起於這個人，他是英國殖民印度時期的軍方將領兼英屬印度外務秘書（Henry McMahon），他在地圖上畫下「麥克馬洪線」，說這條就是印度和西藏的界線。不過不論是中華民國政府還是中華人民共和國政府，都不承認「麥克馬洪線」。

不過中方在戰勝後撤回，真正的國界一直未定，雙方暫時以「實際控制線」(LAC)為界，但是大小衝突時有所聞。2017年，中印軍方在中國、印度和不丹交界處爆發對峙，當時西方媒體都在討論，中印是否會爆發第二次邊界戰爭，不過後來這場俗稱「洞朗危機」，在兩軍對峙73天後和平結束。在洞朗危機之後，莫迪分別於2018年在武漢，以及2019年在印度會見了習近平。尤其是在武漢峰會上，雙方達成管束部隊，並通過和平談判解決邊界緊張局勢的協議。《紐約時報》稱，自從武漢峰會以來，新德里的外交一直完全服從於中國，未對台灣問題、香港問題，甚至新冠病毒疫情，提出嚴重批評，直到現在。

我們分析近來衛星照片後得知，中國大規模的在中印爭議區域，在班公錯附近擴張土地，大概是在過去一個多月左右，大概是在5月的時候，中方開始大舉興建建物在「指間第4-5段線」（Finger 4-5）之間，而且不像加勒萬河谷的那種帳篷，中國軍方在班公錯建的是水泥建築，是真正的建築，建物周圍還有防禦工事，看起來是非常重要的據點，不過我們並沒有發現有任何大砲或是重武器或坦克進駐，不過那個規模，看來有數百棟建物，在我們看來，這代表的是中方將永遠駐紮在那裡，給人感覺中方企圖改變中印現狀

如今印度士兵被殺，印度宣稱擁有主權的領土被占。印度的反對黨稱莫迪對習近平的逢迎，是嚴重的誤判。

儘管印度呼籲以罷買作為報復，但是印度消費市場極度依賴中國產品，不大可能完全抵制「中國製造」。

中國是印度最大的貿易伙伴，印度2019年從中國進口約684億美元的貨物，遠高於從第二大貿易國美國的349億美元。然而，中國2019年總出口量超過2.4兆美元，對印度出口總值僅占總出口量3%。紐約時報分析，面對中國政策的慘敗，莫迪眼下的問題是：新德里是否應該接受華盛頓的援助以應對危機？自5月以來，美國官員已多次向印度釋出訊息。在25日的視訊會議中，蓬佩奧甚至說出，美國減少在德國的駐軍，目的是將士兵抽調到其他地區，以「應付中國對印度、東南亞國家及南海的威脅」。

由前港督Lord Patten of Barnes同前英國外交大臣Hon Sir Malcolm Rifkind發起嘅國際聯署聲明，一個星期內由廿幾個國家嘅201個議員，依家聯署議員人數去到50國家728個議會政界人士！最壯觀不外乎係日本，不過唔該留意下嗰啲小國，例如科索沃、阿爾巴尼亞、立陶宛、斯洛伐克、緬甸等等小國，哪怕佢地得一兩個代表支持，但係以前人地國家出現問題，自問大家何曾理會過？睇完新聞下一秒就已經「哦，邊度黎㗎？」，然後食買玩揾錢唔記得...依家人地反而出黎支持...喂！簽個名有政治代價㗎，唔係應份！（本人自己都覺得有些少羞恥）
