先看題目要的單位，分母lbm所以我推測他是要算單位質量的動能(比動能)
再來看題目內容也沒有給你質量或間接可以算出質量的條件
所以...
{1/2mv^2}/m剛好可以把m消掉=1/2v^2
最後看單位
[m]~lbm [v]~ft/s代入上式
因為是看單位，所以1/2就不管
{lbm-ft^2/s^2}/lbm .........(1)
這邊我補充說明一下lbm和lbf的轉換
由F=ma，[F]~lbf、[m]~slug、[a]~ft/s^2
所以 1 lbf = 1 slug x 1 ft/s^2 ，其中 1 slug = 32.2 lbm
所以上式也等於 1 lbf = 32.2 lbm x 1 ft/s^2
比較單位可得 lbf=lbm-ft/s^2，代入(1)式
{lbm-ft^2/s^2}/lbm = {lbm-ft/s^2}x{ft}/lbm
= lbf-ft/lbm (這應該是題目要求的單位吧)
最後值得一提的地方是
lbf-ft/lbm 不等於 ft-lbf/lbm
先不管分母除的lbm
lbf-ft是功的單位，功定義為 W = F。s，在公制相當於N-m=J
ft-lbf是力矩單位，力矩定義為 M = r x F，在公制則相當於m-N
所以兩者順序是不能對調的
動能屬於功的一種，所以我覺得你題目的單位應該筆誤給錯了
