WHITE ROSE & THE TRUMPET 🥀
Với tên gọi tạm dịch là 'Hồng Trắng Vang Vọng Tiếng Người Xưa', đây là một dự án hướng tới mục tiêu trở thành phim điện ảnh. Hiện dự án vừa thực hiện một cảnh phim mẫu, teaser dưới đây là những hình ảnh đầu tiên của cảnh phim.
Cảnh phim mẫu sẽ được sử dụng tiếp tục bước đi trên con đường kêu gọi sự hưởng ứng, đón nhận từ khán giả cũng như tìm kiếm cơ hội từ những nhà đầu tư trong tương lai.
Một số dự án từng thành công với con đường này ở quốc tế có thể kể đến Lights Out, Whiplash hay ở Việt Nam từng có một bộ phim lãng mạn ngọt ngào mang tên 'Nhắm Mắt Thấy Mùa Hè'.
Dự án có sự đồng hành của DP Nguyễn Minh Tiến, người đem lại chất thơ cho từng khung hình qua những dự án như 'Nàng Thơ' (Hoàng Dũng), 'Giữa Đại Lộ Đông Tây' (Uyên Linh). Bên cạnh đó là Art Director Đỗ Viết Tuấn với sự am hiểu về văn hóa Sài Gòn, và sự duyên dáng của PD Thu Tâm. Cảnh phim mẫu mong rằng vẫn có thể truyền tải một sắc màu Sài Gòn xưa thu hút được sự quan tâm của khán giả.
Đây mới chỉ là bước đầu tiên nho nhỏ của đạo diễn trẻ Jay Đỗ. Anh mong rằng sẽ được mọi người lắng nghe, đón xem và hào hứng tham gia cùng dự án 'White Rosé & The Trumpet' trong hành trình từ cảnh phim ngắn đến với ước mơ phim dài.

Jay Đỗ sinh năm 1997, khởi điểm xuất phát từ đạo diễn kịch nghệ và nhạc kịch trong những năm cấp 3 và sau đó theo học đạo diễn tại Mỹ. Xuyên suốt khoảng thời gian này, Jay thường xuyên trở về Việt Nam thực hiện dự án cá nhân, bao gồm những phim ngắn ở mức độ sinh viên, ngoài ra cũng tham gia các hoạt động liên quan tới mảng quảng cáo trong nước. Từ đó Jay có thêm về độ dày kinh nghiệm làm việc trong nước.
Khoảng đầu năm 2019, Jay đã tham gia một dự án phim lớn thuộc sự sản xuất của trường tại Mĩ, 'The War Within' - một dự án phim chiến tranh với những bối cảnh khắc nghiệt lên rừng xuống núi.
Cuối năm 2019, Jay trở về Việt Nam thực hiện dự án phim ngắn về thời kì Pháp Thuộc mang tên 'À La Carte'. Bộ phim đưa Jay cùng mọi người tham gia tiến tới một số liên hoan phim uy tín như Vancouver, Raindance và gần đây nhất là LA Short Fest.
Sau khi trở lại Việt Nam, hiện Jay đang theo đuổi một dự án điện ảnh đầu tay mang màu sắc Sài Gòn những năm 70s mang tên 'White Rosé & The Trumpet'. Hiện dự án đã qua giai đoạn thực hiện cảnh phim mẫu, sẵn sàng bước vào giai đoạn pitching.

Have you ever experienced rainy Paris as a tourist? Did you like it or hate it?
The night I took this picture was the night I went up Eiffel Tower. After a long queue, the moment we went up, it started raining heavily. Way too heavily! I was soaked to the bone. We were supposed to go for a fancy dinner after the tour. All our plans were ruined. It became so chilly at some point that we decided to say our goodbyes and went back to our hotels to change. I was mad, upset, and hungry!
On my way to the hotel near Sienna river, I look back. And I found this majestic view. Paris after rain. A soaked up yet all shiny Tower. Believe me or not, I totally forgot that I was HANGRY (hungry+angry) a while ago. Everything is started looking different. Rain soaked roads and alleys, lamps, the warm lights, people... everything. Rather than going back to my hotel, I started wandering around. Appeased my hunger with a Shawrma from a food truck instead of a fancy dinner. After midnight, this pseudo Cinderella reached her hotel with her wet clothes and a very warm heart.
I am a person who believe things happen for a reason. If it wasn’t raining that night, then we would have end up dining out. Paris surely wanted me to experience this all by myself. Something to cherish for long long time. ❤️
