Bạn đã khó khăn cực khổ luyện tập nghe đọc hằng ngày, vậy mà ngay trong khi làm bài thi trong phòng, vẫn có “9 cạm bẫy” rình rập quanh bạn khiến bạn bị mất điểm một cách đáng tiếc. Có thể đó là những thắc mắc băn khoăn của bạn trước khi thi nhưng bạn không có người giải thích. Có thể nó bắt nguồn chủ yếu từ sự cẩu thả của bạn, điều mà bạn cần rút kinh nghiệm.
Vấn đề của bạn có phải nằm trong 9 lỗi sai thường gặp dưới đây?

1️⃣. Có phải bắt buộc dùng bút chì để điền đáp án vào tờ answer sheet?

Bút chì là loại bút duy nhất bạn được phép sử dụng trong phòng thi trong hai kỹ năng nghe và đọc. Trong phòng thi đã thường có sẵn bút chì trước vị trí ngồi của bạn rồi nhé. Trong việc điền đáp án vào phần nghe và đọc, dùng bút chì là điều bắt buộc. Với kỹ năng viết, bạn được thoải mái lựa chọn loại bút mà mình muốn sử dụng nhưng tuy nhiên bạn vẫn nên sử dụng bút chì để đảm bảo tẩy xóa sửa lỗi sai một cách thoải mái, bài viết vẫn sạch sẽ. Bạn cũng được cung cấp sẵn 1 tẩy bút chì ở vị trí ngồi nhưng hãy chú ý chữ không quá to, không quá nhỏ và cũng không xấu để giám khảo có thể dễ dàng đọc đáp án

2️⃣. Viết hoa và viết thường có khác gì nhau không?
Về cơ bản chỉ có một số nguyên tắc viết hoa cơ bản giống trong tiếng Việt như: Viết hoa chữ cái đầu tiên với tên riêng, tháng, ngày thứ… nên tốt nhất là bạn follow đúng các quy tắc trên thì sẽ hoàn toàn không lo lắng gì sau khi làm xong bài thi cả. Không viết tắt mà thay vào đó điền rõ ràng đáp án của mình vào tờ answer sheet. Tuy nhiên nếu trong trường hợp chữ bạn quá xấu khó nhìn thì với tên riêng như tên đường, tên người, tên phố, bạn có thể viết hoa tất cả các chữ cái trong đáp án để giám khảo dễ dàng đọc được đáp án của bạn hơn.

Ví dụ
Đáp án William Street theo đúng quy tắc viết hoa thì cần được viết hoa các chữ cái W và S như trên, và đây cũng là cách đưa ra đáp án tốt nhất. Hoặc không bạn có thể ghi đáp án là WILLIAM STREET

3️⃣. Bắt buộc phải viết theo tAnh-Anh hay Anh-Mỹ?
Không có sự bắt buộc về viết bạn phải viết theo tiếng Anh-Anh hay Anh-Mỹ cả. Cả hai cách viết đều được chấp nhận nhé bạn. Có một vài sự khác biệt giữa chính tả của Anh-Anh hay Anh-Mỹ như sau:
Những từ kết thức bằng –or (Anh - Mỹ) –our (Anh – Anh): color, colour, humor, humour, flavor, flavour...
Những từ kết thúc bằng – ize (Anh - Mỹ) – ise (Anh – Anh): recognize, recognise, patronize, patronise...
Anh – Anh thường gấp đôi phụ âm cuối trong khi Anh – Mỹ có khi không như vậy, đặc biệt là với phụ âm “l”. Ví dụ: Travel - traveller - travelling (Anh – Anh) và Travel - traveler - traveling (Anh – Mỹ)
Một ví dụ là cách viết động từ 'to practise'- luyện, tập luyện. Trong tiếng Anh Anh, từ này được viết với chữ 'S', P-R-A-C-T-I-S-E. Còn trong tiếng Anh Mỹ, nó được viết với chữ 'C', P-R-A-C-T-I-C-E.
Tuy nhiên do bài thi IELTS xuất phát từ Anh và các đáp án của Cambridge sử dụng cách spelling Anh-Anh nên mình cũng nghĩ (và cá nhân mình cũng làm như vậy) đó là các bạn hãy sử dụng cách spelling của Anh-Anh.

4️⃣. Có được viết linh tinh vào tờ câu hỏi?
Để làm bài thi nghe, bạn sẽ được phát một quyển gọi là Listening booklet trong đó có thông tin và câu hỏi của bài thi nghe. Một điều quan trọng là bạn có tờ booklet đó để nghe và viết bất cứ cái gì lên nó (take note, ghi đáp án, gạch chân key words) trong suốt thời gian nghe. Sau 10 phút chuyển đáp án vào tờ answer sheet, những quyển booklet này sẽ được thu lại cùng với từ answer sheet của bạn nhé. Tương tự với bài thi đọc và viết của vậy, bạn thoải mái dùng tờ booklet và viết/vẽ bất cứ cái gì bạn muốn

5️⃣. Viết ngày tháng như thế nào?
Viết ngày tháng như thế nào mới là đúng? Có thể bạn đã bắt được câu trả lời là ngày 7 tháng 11 chẳng hạn, nhưng cách viết đáp án của bạn mới là điều quyết định điểm số. Bạn có thể theo hai cách sau:
Viết ngày trước tháng sau, ngày bằng số và tháng bằng chữ và nhớ viết hoa chữ cái đầu tiên của tháng (7 November). Cách này là cách mà các cuốn sách luyện đề IELTS hay đưa ra hơn nên bạn cũng nên viết theo cách này hơn.
Viết tháng trước, viết hoa chữ cái đầu tiên của tháng và số viết sau nhưng phải là số thức tự (November 7th)
Tuyệt đối không viết theo cách 07/11 hay 11/07 vì hai lý do: 1. Chúng ta thường chỉ được sử dụng 1 số cho mỗi đáp án trong các dạng câu hỏi này và 2. Cách viết khiến người đọc bị confuse đâu là ngày và đâu là tháng.

6️⃣. Số ít hay số nhiều có ảnh hưởng đến đáp án?
Trong nhiều trường hợp đáp án số ít hay số nhiều đều được chấp nhận. Trong một số đáp án của các cuốn practice bạn sẽ thấy ghi là “factory/factories” thì có nghĩa số ít hay số nhiều sẽ chắc chắn sẽ được chấp nhận. Tuy nhiên có rất nhiều trường hợp sự khác nhau về số ít và số nhiều sẽ khiến bạn mất điểm đáng tiếc. Ví dụ đáp án 2 minutes mà bạn viết 2 minute thì hoàn toàn không được điểm.
Chắc chắn đây là lỗi mà rất nhiều bạn mắc phải. Lời khuyên là nếu trong lần nghe duy nhất mà bạn không nghe được chính xác đáp án là danh từ số ít hay số nhiều, cách tốt nhất là hãy dựa vào ngữ pháp tiếng Anh mà bạn đã viết để quyết định. Ví dụ:
What length of time for study is recommended to raise your IELTS score by one band level?
Đáp án bắt buộc là “3 months” chứ không thể là “3 month” được
There is a ……….in the bookstore
Đáp án phải bắt buộc là danh từ số ít đếm được vì đằng trước đã có mạo từ “a” rồi nhé

7️⃣. Viết nhầm giữa mặt Reading và Listening có sao không?
Tờ answer của phần Listening và Reading là trong cùng một tờ giấy, mỗi kỹ năng viết đáp án vào riêng một mặt. Nếu bạn mắc lỗi sai: đáp án phần Listening điền sang mặt Reading thì sẽ có chuyện gì xảy ra. Hoàn toàn khác với các thầy cô ở trường có thể nhân nhượng biết rằng bạn viết nhầm và chấm theo đáp án của bạn, trong bài IELTS bạn sẽ được 0 cả hai kỹ năng này. Điều này cực kì quan trọng nên bạn tuyệt đối chú ý cách điền thông tin vào từ Listening và Reading answer sheet nhé.

8️⃣. Viết thừa từ cho phép có bị trừ điểm?
Lỗi giới hạn từ thường xảy ra khi bạn không chú ý giới hạn từ được điền vào mỗi chỗ trống. Ví dụ đề bài yêu cầu “NO MORE THAN TWO WORDS AND/OR A NUMBER” tức là bạn chỉ được viết tối đa là 2 từ và 1 số nhé.
Ví dụ: the data the will be recorded on a …………….
Đáp án “triangular graph paper” sẽ là sai vì số từ lên đến tận 3 từ, quá số từ cho phép

9️⃣. Có được viết tắt trong đáp án?
Thêm một lỗi sai nữa cũng khá hay gặp phải do thói quen luyện tập ở nhà đó là bạn hay viết tắt:
TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN viết tắt là T/F/NG
YES/NO/NOT GIVEN viết tắt là Y/N/NG hoặc thậm chí ghi nhầm là T/F/NG luôn.
Theo quy định gần đây thì có được viết tắt như vậy nhưng chắc hẳn không phải ai trước khi đi thi cũng update xem quy định này đã thay đổi hay chưa. Cách viết T/F/NG có thể sai chứ cách viết TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN chắc chắn không bao giờ sai. Hơn thế nữa, giả sử đáp án của bạn là F nhưng viết ẩu, vội hoặc xấu giảm khảo không xác định được là T hay F thì đương nhiên họ sẽ thẳng tay không cho điểm câu này, trong khi việc này không bao giờ xảy là với việc bạn viết TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN.
Nếu câu hỏi là TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN nhưng lại viết là YES/NO/NOT GIVEN thì có được tính điểm không? Hoàn toàn không nhé các bạn, trừ những câu bạn chọn NOT GIVEN và đáp án đó là đúng. Đề bài hỏi như thế nào bạn yêu cầu được trả lời đúng như thế.

SHANGHAI – The all-new Nissan Sylphy was unveiled today at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show, sporting a new look and featuring the latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies to give drivers increased connectivity, comfort and confidence.

With a new and more fuel-efficient powertrain, a wider stance, a lower center of gravity, improved aerodynamics and a roomy, luxurious interior, the new Sylphy delivers even better performance and an enhanced driving experience. Seamless connectivity features and a full suite of active safety technologies provide support for drivers.

“The all-new Nissan Sylphy represents the full landing of Nissan Intelligent Mobility in China,” said Daniele Schillaci, executive vice president of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. “With an even more stylish design and advanced connectivity and safety technologies, the all-new Nissan Sylphy gives customers a whole new level of confidence and excitement, befitting of a leading family sedan.”

At first glance, the all-new Sylphy is characterized by its stance, which reflects the design concepts of “vigor” and “confidence.” The lower profile and streamlined exterior contribute to decreased wind resistance, with a drag coefficient of just 0.26 – equal to that of the Nissan GT-R. Signature Nissan features include the black grille with a three-dimensional V-motion design, bringing about a strong visual impact. The sides are defined by lean, striking proportions that create a sense of motion even when the car is stationary.

These dynamic exterior design cues hint at a number of key performance upgrades. The car is powered by the all-new Nissan HR16DE Gen3 intelligent drive engine with Xtronic transmission. The new powertrain technologies boost engine stability and fuel efficiency1 and provide a linear, smooth driving experience. Steering, suspension and body rigidity have also been enhanced to improve handling and deliver a more solid driving feel.

The wide stance and long wheelbase allow for a spacious cabin where up to five people can ride comfortably in soft, 3D Multilayer ergonomic seats. The interior comes in sporty black, light gray or tan. The tan version features a diamond-cut quilting pattern on the seats that adds a modern, luxurious feel.

Interior features that have been designed for increased comfort and convenience also include the three-outlet air conditioning system. Controlled by a single integrated switch, it supplies air separately to the left and right front seats and to the back seats. An 8-inch center color display and the 7-inch, high-definition thin-film transistor monitor, which shows drive information and readings from the car’s sensors, are arranged inside the meter assembly for a smart, highly functional design.

Among the many Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies in the all-new Sylphy are seamless smartphone connectivity and intelligent voice command. The Integrated Dynamic Control Module uses targeted brake applications after the vehicle encounters a bump or undulation to immediately improve the level of the body, enhancing ride quality. Additional technologies to assist the driver include Intelligent Trace Control, Intelligent Ride Control and Emergency Brake for Pedal Misapplication.

Safety technologies such as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Cross Traffic Alert and Intelligent Driving Alert support the driver in anticipating and avoiding hazardous situations.

Most would know Linora Low for her bubbly energetic personality on radio.
