It’s hard to notice Sober Ground, the café is tucked away from the bustling Burmah Road and the signage is rather inconspicuous. It seems suspiciously quiet from outside but in fact, its a quaint that offers a small Waffle menu. No mains are served… only a few sweet and savory Waffle choices, along with special brew and beverages. Walk until the end of the place and you will find a secret garden, with old-school rattan chairs and tables while the transparent roof allows natural lights to flow in; a cozy space to enjoy a leisure afternoon. As for the Waffle, we had Anti Matcha Matcha Club, cinnamon sugar-dusted Waffle served with fresh cream, Matcha Ice Cream, Red Beans, Kit Kat, Marshmallow, fresh Strawberries and Chocolate sauce. Texture was a little hard but the flavour was good. We washed it down with iced Sweet Potato Latte.
