Growing up with 2 brothers with autism, and meeting other people who have family members with special needs, I know the emotional, physical and financial stresses that families go through - the parents and siblings - all in the name of caring for a loved one who needs more care than most.
Share the Care SG is a campaign that acknowledges the vital role that those family caregivers have in caring for all those with special needs.
The campaign highlights 4 types of support one can show a family caregiver (or friendly caregiver in general!):
1. Emotional Support: lending an ear and encouragement.
2. Instrumental Support: offering some practical help.
3. Informational Support: introducing them to other caregivers - chatting to others in similar situations helps!
4. Appraisal Support: just showing your appreciation for their efforts.

And yes I'm trying to show off my purple #ShareTheCareSG band here...the wedding band just got in the way and if I take it off I'll dissappear in some kind of reverse Lord of The Rings magical effect; that's what the wife tells me anyway.
