โดยตัวเกมจะมีรูปแบบเป็น JRPG แบบ 2D โดยกลไกของเกมจะส่งเสริมให้คุณต้องเรียนรู้ภาษาญี่ปุ่นไม่ว่าจะเป็นการเขียน การอ่าน หรือการฟัง แต่เนื้อหาหลัก ๆ ของเกมยังคงเป็นภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ด้วย

จากตัวอย่างด้านบน เกมเพลย์จะมีระบบการเล่นที่หลากหลาย มอบภารกิจและประสบการณ์การเล่นที่แตกต่างกันไป และในแต่ละภารกิจก็พร้อมจะมอบบทเรียนความรู้เกี่ยวกับภาษาญี่ปุ่นให้ผู้เล่น โดยผู้พัฒนาเผยว่าคุณจะเรียนรู้ภาษาญี่ปุ่นได้ตั้งแต่ระดับ N5 จนถึง N3 ภายในเกมนี้

ตัวเกมจะมีความยาวในการเล่าเรื่องแบบนิทาน คาดว่าอาจยาวกว่า 50 ชั่วโมง และเน้นไปที่ความสนุกสนานผสมกับการอ่าน เขียน ฟัง พูดภาษาญี่ปุ่น โดยตัวเกมมีกำหนดจะวางจำหน่ายบน PlayStation 4 และ Nintendo Switch
