We were out for 12 hours today and every minute of it was so fun that the kids didn't want the day to end. Let's see, what did we accomplish?
In the morning, we took the cable car and scaled up our #GuardianofProsperty - the 37-metre tall towering Merlion. It was the first time we went all the way up to its head and the kids were so thrilled to receive a coin souvenir as keepsake.
Our lunch was in Spuds & Aprons at Faber Peak and the Tobiko Crusted Cod gets our thumbs up. We also rang the Bell of Happiness and fed the kois in the pond too, much to the delight of the kids.
Next, we made our way to the Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, which was also a first for us. We didn't see too many butterflies but we did manage to get up close with a giant iguana, beautiful parrots and a wide array of bugs which fascinated the girls very much.
It was then time to Luge! Woohoo! This was our second experience and a first for the baby brother, who really enjoyed every bit of the Jungle and Dragon Trail, as well as the Skyride too. In fact, he loved it so much so that instead of taking his nap, he wanted to carry on and we did everything not once but twice! Fun!
After that, we went on a nature discovery trail and spotted squirrels and lots of red ants. Lol. To take a break, we boarded the Sky Tower so everyone could enjoy the magnificent scenery and cooling air con.
Dinner was at Good Old Days restaurant which serves local delights and we had an unainimous favourite - the Hainanese Chicken Rice.
To end off this fun-filled family day, we watched the world's first pernament night show set against an open sea - Wings of Time. It was such a majestic, breathtaking show and no wonder the place was jam packed!
