Take a Step Down to Go Up!

“But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes, he may tell you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.” (Luke‬ ‭14:10‬ ‭WEB)

While I was thinking about the winding staircase revelation that Pastor Prince shared, suddenly these words floated up in my spirit: “Go up higher.”

I searched for that verse and found this! This year when you humble yourself by placing others before you, God will remember you by promoting you to a higher place.

You’re ascending the winding staircase when you serve Jesus in humility. Even if it seems like your good works are not being noticed or acknowledged, remember that the Lord is your Rewarder and He sees all your labors of faith, hope and love.

In His address to all the seven churches of Asia Minor in the Book of Revelation, Jesus said that He knew their works and could even single them out by name.

““I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.” (Revelation‬ ‭2:19‬ ‭WEB‬)

A believer walking in humility shows that he/she is growing to be more spiritually-mature.

When you go down in humility, you’re actually moving up and demonstrating that you’re ready to receive bigger blessings to steward for Jesus’ glory. Amen!

Jesus Never Ran?

“After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.” (Matthew‬ ‭14:23-25‬ ‭WEB‬‬)

Did you notice that it is never recorded for us that Jesus ever ran?

Even when He wanted to save the disciples who were being tossed about by raging waves, He came to them walking on the sea.

If He had to go down the mountain by land the usual way like mortal men, He would have had to run.

But Jesus who came from Heaven is above that. By faith in His Father, He had supernatural access to the shortest possible route to get to His disciples—He reached them perfectly on time without any hurry.

Dear brethren, God is way ahead of the devil. When Satan makes a move, God has already seen all the steps needed to make a checkmate.

When Satan sent the windstorm to destroy the disciples, God already saw the church filling the earth and being a blessing to the world.

Whatever trouble you’re facing right now, God has long since anticipated it and prepared the necessary provision for your victory.

When you get to the appointed time, the ministering angel commissioned to serve your needs will make sure the blessing is in place.

God is firmly in control of time and space. He’s in no hurry because He’s perfectly on time.
You can walk restfully without running anxiously when you trust in Jesus’ perfect timing.

Outward restfulness comes from having a revelation that Jesus’ finished work at the cross paid for us to enjoy every unmerited favor and blessing of God.

Time Miracle: Accelerated Learning and Wisdom Beyond Your Years

“After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions. All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.” He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” (Luke‬ ‭2:46-52‬ ‭WEB‬)

Are you a parent? I believe most parents would want their children to excel at learning.
Some parents are very stressed out about this, and depend greatly on their self-efforts to invest in their children’s learning, so that these children can grow up to enjoy comfortable lives.

When God blesses your children with a miracle of accelerated learning, even a short period of study can become highly effective.
They become very smart and observant, able to pick up new skills easily.

They will become like the twelve year old Jesus who had wisdom beyond His years.

Don’t put your trust in worldly methods of boosting intelligence—certainly let them eat, sleep and exercise well, but our faith must be in Jesus—those who hope in Him will never be put to shame.

No amount of money spent on enrichment classes or tuition can exceed the power of having faith in Jesus for accelerated learning and wisdom.

Pray for your children to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus and to have a heart for the things of God.
This is the wisest thing you can do and that they can do.

Faith in Jesus is what will cause your children to increase in wisdom, stature and favor with God and men.

Even if you’re not a parent yet, the same applies for you. I believe you also want to experience a time miracle of accelerated learning.

With the kind of fast pace of life nowadays, every decision has an opportunity cost.
With only twenty-four hours each day, we have so many things we want to do, but we have to choose and prioritize.

If you’re picking up a new skill or looking to increase in learning in an area, trust Jesus for a miracle of accelerated learning.
Perhaps you only have very little time each day to set aside for that. Jesus can make those minutes count.

““For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind.” (1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭WEB)

Believe and confess that you have the mind of Christ, having perfect memory, unparalleled intelligence and powerful spiritual discernment.

As you celebrate more birthdays, expect your mind to get sharper when your faith is in Jesus.
When you consistently hear messages about Him, you also become like Him, transformed into His very image in body, soul and spirit.
