Happy 55th birthday, Singapore! 🇸🇬 While this year’s celebrations have a different shape from other years, it is proof nonetheless that Singapore remains undaunted by any challenge. Now, more than ever, we must keep up our spirits and resolve.
This year’s #NDP2020 celebrations honoured our frontliners, to whom we owe so much in this pandemic. The celebrations were unique — for the first time, we split the traditional NDP into two segments. The morning segment showcased Singapore’s strength, determination and resilience, while the evening segment celebrated the many everyday Singaporeans and guest workers who stepped up during this crisis.
Singapore is only 55. We have come a long way in a short time. We could not have done so without all of us banding together, and tackling crises as one. As long as we stay united, we can overcome any obstacle. – LHL
