#TzuChiRelief volunteers arrived in Mexico on September 24, just five days after the #MexicoEarthquake, and started their disaster assessment in #SanGregorio. On December 15, our emergency relief mission ended with a #DisasterAid distribution there, bringing our journey full circle. “Now that they’re leaving, I wanted to tell them that we’ve learned how to be more loving thanks to their example. The foundation planted a seed that we’re going to continue and probably start just like Tzu Chi did, a small step forward that hopefully will end up much larger.” -- Edna González, Tzu Chi Volunteer.

Los voluntarios #TzuChiAlivio llegaron a México el 24 de Septiembre, solo cinco días después del #TerremotoMexico, y empezaron sus evaluaciones en #SanGregorio. Over 1,200 individuals congregated for an #interfaith event at the Santa Ana Church in Ecuador. With reverent smiles adorning the faces of all, residents and volunteers alike acknowledged the tangible difference they had accomplished together. Hope and love was palpable in the air, as tears of gratitude were shed for the obstacles they’ve overcome through their #teamwork, and the revitalization of their #communities during our #CashForRelief program. #LoveSaves #TzuChiRelief

When our #CashForRelief #DisasterAid reaches impoverished communities, it touches a chord with people desperate to improve their life. Tanya, a single mother in #Portoviejo #Ecuador is doing all she can for her family, including a daughter who owes her chance for an education to Tanya’s resolve. “What I want is to work.
