AIT/Washington and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office exchanged an arrangement pledging $I million from Taiwan to support the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. AIT Managing Director John Norris, U.S. Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Laura Stone, and U.S. Deputy Special Presidential Envoy Terry Wolff witnessed the donation. The State Department’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs tweeted a photo to announce the donation coming from Taiwan. The United States appreciated Taiwan's support of combating ISIS and its efforts in countering the terrorism.
