Square Enix และ Cyber Group Studios ได้ร่วมกันประกาศว่า Final Fantasy IX กำลังอยู่ในระหว่างการผลิตเพื่อดัดแปลงเป็นแอนิเมชันซีรีส์ โดยมุ่งเป้าที่จะนำเสนอโลกของ Final Fantasy IX ให้กับกลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นเด็กวัย 8 - 13 ปี ในขณะที่ยังคงให้ความบันเทิงแก่แฟนๆ รุ่นเก่าอยู่

The Worlds Ends With You(It's a Wonderful World ในภาษาญี่ปุ่น) เป็นเกม Action RPG ที่พัฒนาโดย Square Enix ออกวางจำหน่ายบนเครื่อง Nintendo DS เมื่อปี 2007 ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องราวของเหล่าเด็กหนุ่มสาวในเมืองชิบุยะถูกบังคับให้เข้าร่วมในเกมยมทูตที่มีชะตากรรมของโลกเป็นเดิมพัน ซึ่งตัวเกมได้รับความนิยมอย่างสูงในประเทศญี่ปุ่นจนได้รับการยกย่องว่าเป็นหนึ่งในเกมที่ดีที่สุดของเครื่อง Nintendo DS กันเลย
