Seriously can people use some common sense?
IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS
Do you really think any miracle, all-curing product will be selling through this kind of dodgy mechanisms? That it wouldn't be patented & attain worldwide acclaim? I mean come on, people have been battling "incurable" problems like weight gain & hair loss for CENTURIES.
If you wanna waste your money on some creams & gels, yeah sure maybe the worst-case scenario you only get a rash/reaction. But do you really want to mess with your body by taking pills & drinks? Toxic substances can really damage your liver, kidneys or cause other irrevocable damage.
Do people continuously need to be reminded of past unregulated slimming pills that caused actual deaths?!
And for this Charlotte Kiew to actively cover up the HSA letter that clearly states it is NOT an endorsement/approval is just downright low & unethical.
Frankly I don't care if you claim you're a "seller" or not. There are some who post Stories saying contact @XYZ shop to buy, so you assume they're simply "reviewing" & don't earn & therefore are more trustworthy right? But I know that this isn't the case & some of them earn a commission per sale.
If you don't earn from it, I don't see why you'd be so actively promoting the product EVERY DAMN DAY on your IG. Really all "just to share"?
Maybe it's possible, maybe it isn't. I just wish Singaporeans would be a little more discerning & use some common sense to filter information instead of being so damn blind - WAH SHE SAY GOOD I MUST BUY. Really Singaporean mentality - IF GOT QUEUE I ALSO MUST QUEUE.
Kudos to Budget Babe for her work in researching all the ingredient & company details & always trying to keep people informed!
If a slimming product sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Are the latest slimming fads on Instagram - Tremella DX+, WoWo collagen jelly and Meizilinglongsu - safe for consumption?
HSA announced that their seizure of illegal slimming products last year found many weight-loss products labelled with claims such as "100 percent natural", "herbal ingredients" and "quick effect". Sounds similar to what influencers selling these products are claiming.
Can you even trust them when they say these are "safe for expectant and breastfeeding mums" anyway?! Why on earth would you risk your health for a moment of vanity?!
I look into the ludicrous claims, the ingredients and the red flags in all three.
