I often get asked where's the best place to enjoy sakura in Kyoto and my answer remains the same every year.

"Kamogawa"

Cycle along the river stretch and you'll be blessed with an amazing view 🌸 it's also free 💁

It's been awhile since we hit the usual tourist spots since we are trying our best to avoid the crowd but then again it's inevitable because the whole world wants a piece of #Japan too 😂

If you think you can try to recreate your "favourite instagrammer" 's pictures with absolute ZERO CROWD, good luck with waking up and heading out at 4-5am everyday 😌
Try to be realistic, enjoy your holiday and immerse yourself in the rich culture & view rather than worry about not be able to take "instagram worthy" pictures.
All pictures are worthy memories 💖

I'm still learning to do that myself, my no.1 rule for a picture is as long it's NOT BLUR then it's okay lol. If it's all blur then it's a sign from the heavens that I shouldn't bother taking photos or I should get a better photography partner 😂

We wanted to ride this boat underneath the Sakura but apparently tickets are sold only in the morning & you can't buy them online. The good old fashion style of ticket purchasing lol.

There are few bridges along the canal that you can take shots like these, if you come towards almost the end of Sakura season the river will be filled with sakura petals & watching the boat go through it feels like you are floating on sea filled with flowers 🌸🌸🌸🌸

One of my favourite Sakura spots in #kyoto minus the crowd and we didn't even need to go out hunting at 6am (pls sleep is more important 😒), we went around lunchtime and there were only a few people around, most of them were just waiting to ride the boat.
The species blooms slightly later, at the hues ranges from white to pastel pink 💖🌸
