自製黑芝麻丸
張先生:「最近白頭髮比較多,知道吃芝麻糊能烏髮,但除了芝麻糊,黑芝麻還有別的吃法嘛?」
CheckCheckCin:從中醫角度看,黑芝麻有益肝腎、養血烏髮,可改善早生白髮及皮燥髮枯的問題,適量食用芝麻糊有一定幫助,黑芝麻粉亦可配搭米水飲用。芝麻有補益效果,但過量服用可引致偏熱症狀如口乾、喉嚨痛、甚至出暗瘡等,一星期進食1至2次已足夠。
黑芝麻丸
材料:黑芝麻粉250克、蜂蜜100克
做法:
1. 鍋內倒入蜂蜜以小火熬煮約10分鐘。
2. 將煮好蜂蜜加入黑芝麻粉中拌勻。
3. 稍微放涼,用手搓成丸狀,約20克一顆。
4. 最後用錫紙分別包好,冰箱冷藏,一星期服用2-3次。

Homemade black sesame balls
“My hair has started to turn gray recently, and I thought perhaps eating sesame paste can help darken my hair. Are there any other alternatives other than sesame paste?”
CheckCheckCin: From the perspective of Chinese Medicine, black sesame seeds are good for the liver and kidneys, can nourish the blood, darken the hair, and relieve dry skin. Hence, consuming an appropriate amount of sesame paste is beneficial for your hair problem.
You may also consume black sesame with rice water or soymilk, or turn these ingredients into sesame seed balls. Do note that sesame seeds have nourishing properties, so excessive consumption can lead to heat-related symptoms such as mouth dryness, sore throat, and acne. Therefore, we should consume this delicacy only once or twice a week.
Black sesame seed balls
Ingredients: 250g black sesame powder, 100g honey
Methods:
1. Pour honey into the pot and cook at low temperature for 10 minutes.
2. Add black sesame powder into the honey and mix well.
3. Once the mixture cools down, roll them into balls (approximately 20g each).
4. Wrap them separately with aluminum foil and refrigerate them. Consume them once or twice a week.
Black soy beans and black sesame soy milk
Effects: regulates qi and promotes blood circulation, nourishes nails and hair, improves blood asthenia.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon black soy beans, 1 tablespoon black sesame powder, 1 cup of soy beans, appropriate amounts of brown sugar
Preparation:
1. Fry black soy beans in a wok without oil until the bean skin cracks. Blend and combine with black sesame powder and place into a thermos.
2. Heat up soy milk and add it to the thermos and mix well. Add in brown sugar to taste.
Note: for best results, have this drink 2-3 times per week. Those with abdominal bloating or asthenic spleen, or those prone to loose stool should consume with caution. Not suitable for those with high uric acid or diabetes.

飲湯是香港人的養生秘技之一,根據季節與體質,挑選合適的食材或藥材,煲出一鍋保健湯水,美味之餘又能強身防病。如果你是入廚新手,覺得煲湯材料配搭很複雜,又不懂藥材屬性,不妨從簡單的瓜湯開始,按個人體質選擇合適的瓜類,簡單配以粟米、紅蘿蔔即可煲出清甜湯水;想湯味更濃郁可加入肉類,或豆類如黃豆、紅腰豆,甚至果仁如腰果、合桃、栗子亦可。
偏熱人士
症狀:喉嚨痛、口瘡、暗瘡、尿少色黃、大便偏乾硬/便秘

佛手瓜粟米蓮子百合湯

材料:佛手瓜2個、粟米連鬚2根、紅蘿蔔1根、蓮子40克、百合20克、蜜棗2枚
做法:
1. 所有材料洗淨,佛手瓜去皮切塊;粟米連鬚去衣切段;紅蘿蔔去皮切塊備用。
2. 鍋中加入2500毫升水,放入全部材料,武火煮至水滾,調文火煮1小時,最後下鹽調味即可。

Gourd-based soups
Hong Kong people like to drink soup to maintain our general wellbeing. To make ourselves a pot of delicious and healthy soup, we can choose the most suitable ingredients and Chinese medicines based on the season and our body constitution.
If you have neither the experience in cooking nor the confidence in making a pot of soup, try starting with a simple gourd-based soup. Choose the gourd (or melon) based on your body constitution and add in corn and carrot to sweeten the soup.
To make the soup more flavorful, you can add meat or beans such as soybean and kidney beans or nuts such as cashew, walnut, and chestnut.
🔥 Individuals with heat in the body
Symptoms: sore throat, mouth sores, acne, yellowish urine, dry and hard stools/constipation
Melon choice: bitter gourd, hairy gourd, loofah, papaya
💦 Individuals with accumulated dampness in the body
Symptoms: a person has had enough hours of sleep but still experiences fatigue, sweat easily, chest tightness, poor appetite, water retention problem, and produces loose stools that stick to the toilet bowl.
Melon choice: winter gourd, old cucumber, loofah, hairy gourd
🤯 Individuals with lots of pressure
Symptoms: feeling emotional, frequently sighing, hypochondrium distension, breast swelling, belching and constipation
Melon choice: chayote, loofah, papaya, cantaloupe
❄️ Individuals of aversion to cold
Symptoms: cold limbs and body, excessive sleepiness, excessive sweating, high volume of urine, loose stool or stool with undigested food
Melon choice: pumpkin
Chayote and corn soup with lotus seed and lily bulb
Effects: clears the heart and calms the mind, relieves symptoms such as poor sleep quality and fatigue.
Ingredients: 2 chayote, 2 ears of corn with silk, 1 carrot, 40g lotus seed, 20g lily bulb, 2 candied dates
Preparation:
1. Rinse all ingredients thoroughly. Peel the chayote and slice into pieces. Remove husks from corn keeping the silk and cut into pieces. Peel the carrot and cut into pieces.
2. Combine all ingredients with 2500ml of water in a pot and cook on high heat until boiling. Turn to low heat and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt to taste.

材料:
紅豆4湯匙
生薏米2湯匙
熟薏米2湯匙
處理:
1. 生、熟薏米,清水浸30分鐘。
2. 紅豆,清水浸,最好浸1晚,但亦不少於6小時。
3. 生、熟薏米,及紅豆,清水沖洗乾淨。
程序:
1. 所有材料,放入養生壺。
2. 加入清水1.2升。
3. 用“黑茶”功能,煲1小時。
4. 完成,可享用。
如果用明火煲:
1. 在煲內加入清水1升半。
2. 大火煲滾後,轉中慢火煲30分鐘,熄火,焗30分鐘,就可以飲用了。
Coix seed and adzuki bean soup
Ingredients:
Adzuki beans 4 tbsp
Raw coix seed 2 tbsp
Cooked coix seed 2 tbsp
Preparation:
1. Raw and cooked coix seed, soak in tap water for 30 minutes.
2. Adzuki beans, soak in tap water overnight but at least 6 hours.
3. Raw and cooked coix seed and Adzuki beans, rinse thoroughly.
Steps:
1. Put everything in health pot.
2. Add water 1.2L.
3. Use "dark tea" function, boil for 1 hour.
4. Complete. Serve.
If a gas cooker is to be used:
1. Put water 1.5 L in pot.
2. Turn to medium~low flame after boils up, boil for 30 minutes. Turn off fire. Leave it for 30 minutes. Serve.

พุดดิงน้ำเต้าหู้
Sweet Soy Pudding
นมหวานเพื่อสุขภาพ เอาใจคนรักถั่วงา ด้วยส่วนผสมของพุดดิงที่ทำจากน้ำเต้าหู้โฮมเมด เสิร์ฟมาพร้อมกับน้ำเชื่อมน้ำตาลทรายแดง และถั่วงาบด
-น้ำเต้าหู้-
ถั่วเหลือง 250 กรัม
น้ำตาลทราย 2 ช้อนโต๊ะ
น้ำสะอาด 1.6 ลิตร
ใบเตย 2 ใบ
-พุดดิงน้ำเต้าหู้-
น้ำเต้าหู้ 2 ถ้วย
เจลาติน 3 แผ่น
น้ำตาลทรายแดง 100 กรัม
น้ำสะอาด 80 กรัม
ขิง 2 แว่น
ถั่วลิสงคั่ว 3 ช้อนโต๊ะ
งาขาว 1 ช้อนโต๊ะ
1. ทำน้ำเต้าหู้ โดยการล้างถั่วเหลืองผ่านน้ำ นำไปคั่วให้หอม แช่น้ำเป็นเวลา 5-6 ชั่วโมง เทน้ำทิ้ง
2. นำถั่วเหลืองที่นุ่มแล้วไปปั่นกับน้ำสะอาด 1.6 ลิตร แล้วกรองใส่หม้อ นำไปตั้งไฟพร้อมด้วยใบเตย เคี่ยวด้วยไฟอ่อนๆ เป็นเวลา 30 นาที ปรุงด้วยน้ำตาลทราย
3. ทำพุดดิงน้ำเต้าหู้ โดยแช่เจลาตินในน้ำเย็นให้นุ่มดี ตวงน้ำเต้าหู้ที่ยังอุ่นอยู่ 2 ถ้วยตวง ใส่เจลาตินลงไป คนให้ละลายดี แล้วกรองใส่ภาชนะเสิร์ฟ นำไปแช่เย็นให้เซตตัวดี
4. ทำน้ำเชื่อม โดยนำน้ำตาลทรายแดง ขิง และน้ำสะอาดตั้งไฟ เคี่ยวให้น้ำตาลละลายดี พักให้เย็นลง กรองขิงออก
5. คั่วงาขาว พักให้เย็นลง แล้วนำไปโขลกกับถั่วลิสง พักไว้
6. เมื่อต้องการรับประทาน ราดน้ำเชื่อมเล็กน้อยบนพุดดิงน้ำเต้าหู้ โรยด้วยงาและถั่วลิสงบด รับประทานทันที
Sweet Soy Pudding
A healthy dessert with a humble cup of soy milk, topped with brown sugar syrup, crunchy peanut and
-Soy Milk-
Dried Soybean 250 g
Sugar 2 tbsp
Water 1.6 l
Pandan 2 leaves
-Soy Pudding-
Soy Milk 2 cups
Gelatin 3 sheets
Brown Sugar 100 g
Water 80 g
Ginger 2 slices
Toasted Peanut 3 tbsp
White Sesame 1 tbsp
1. For Soy Milk: Rinse, toast and soak beans in water for 5 to 6 hours. Rinse and drain again.
2. Transfer beans into a blender or food processor along with 1.6 litres of water. Puree, scraping down sides as necessary, until thick and creamy, strain into the pot with pandan. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes then season with sugar.
3. For Pudding: Bloom gelatin in iced water and add into 2 cups of warm soy milk, stir to combine, strain into individual molds and chill until set.
4. For Syrup: Heat brown sugar, ginger and water until sugar dissolved. Leave to completely cool before removing ginger.
5. Toast sesame seed and grind it with peanut. Set aside.
6. Before serving, pour syrup on top, sprinkle with sesame and peanut.

紅豆蓮子百合露:
材料:
紅豆250克
白蓮子1兩
百合1兩
冰糖適量
處理:
1. 紅豆,清水浸2小時。
2. 蓮子及百合,清水浸2小時。
3. 紅豆已浸了2小時,煲滾水出一出水,同時放蓮子百合。
4. 倒去水分,擎乾水。
5. 用碗量水放入煲,一個人一碗百合露。
6. 加入冰糖。
7. 水滾,冰糖已溶解,放紅豆、蓮子及百合落煲。
8. 煲滾後,收慢火,煲10分鐘。
9. 煲了10分鐘,熄火,焗20分鐘。
10. 過了20分鐘,再滾起糖水,熄火,完成。
Lilly sweet soup with lotus seeds and red bean:
Ingredients:
Red bean 250g
White lotus seeds 1 tael
Lilly 1 tael
Rock sugar appropriate amount
Preparation:
1. Soak red bean with tap water for 2 hours.
2. Soak lotus seeds and lilly with tap water for 2 hours.
3. Red bean has been soaked for 2 hours, boil up a pot of water, soak for 1 minute, put lotus seeds and lilly at the same time.
4. Pour away water. Hang dry.
5. One bowl for one person. One dessert for one person. Put correct amount of water in pot.
6. Put rock sugar.
7. Water has been boiled up. Rock sugar has been melted. Put red bean, lotus seed and Lilly into pot.
8. Turn to low flame after boils up. Boil 10 minutes more.
9. Have already boiled for 10 minutes. Turn off fire, leave it for 20 minutes.
10. Boil up sweet soup again after 20 minutes. Turn off fire. Serve.
