「取捨」is tough, but you have to do it!
"The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.‘’
Again …
哈佛大學教授 Michael Porter 亦講過: “Strategy is making trade-offs in competing. The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do."
Tests:
A distinctive value proposition
A tailored value chain
Trade-offs different from rivals
Fit across value chain
What are trade-offs?
"Trade-offs are the strategic equivalent of a fork in the road. If you take one path, you cannot simultaneously take the other." by Michael Porter
"Competition is not about being the BEST, not about MARKET SHARE. Competition is about being UNIQUE, about earning PROFITS" by Michael Porter
video …
10 minutes, just cut!
This is what I call "trade-offs", LESS IS MORE!
When you please everybody, you please nobody.
Your trade-offs have to be different from your rivals, then you have a strategy.
Just Color 染髮? Just Blow Dry 吹頭?
Just Blow Dry?
No Cuts No Color, Just Blowouts.
I was an IKEA Customer, but not anymore! It's OK, you cannot please everybody!
No first class, No meals, No assigned seats, No baggage transfer, No planes other than Boeing 737s, No International Flight … so on and so forth.
“Dear Mrs. Crabapple. We will miss you. Love, Herb."
"Strategy is making trade-offs in competing. The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do." by Michael Porter.
"When you try to offer something for everybody, you tend to relax the trade-offs that underpin your competitive advantage." by Michael Porter.
"Trade-offs are choices that make strategies sustainable because they are not easy to match or to neutralize." by Michael Porter.
I know it.
What are your trade-offs?
There is no problem with that!
李小龍嘅名言,亦都係掛喺我公司office嘅唯一名言: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."

🌻Morgan Stanley Mid-year Investor Outlook: A tricky transition
https://www.morganstanley.com/ideas/midyear-2021-global-markets-outlook
"It is vital (重要的) that you know what you own, that if I asked you on the street why you like a certain stock, you can give me three reasons. If you don't know how they make their money, who their key clients are and what they make if, then I will tell you that you are over your head and should not own individual stocks."
Jim Cramer: In Times Like This, Go for the Easy Money
Look at the stocks you own. Can you tell me why you've got them? If you can't answer the following three questions, then have a look at several I like right now.
We've endured the meme stock craziness, with all of its love for heavily shorted stocks. We have watched the collapse of bitcoin to levels viewed as shocking, even if they are still more than double where they were not that long ago. We've dealt with Fed officials making it clear that they are no longer on the side of the bulls or the bears. They are on the side of job growth, but are wary of inflation. We've seen the end of the rush to get vaccines, which means that millions of people are going to get the new COVID variant, because there is no natural immunity to it. We've watched as the hopes for an infrastructure bill have collapsed. We've endured shortages of everything from chips to plastic to imported goods and labor.
And we're still standing, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yep, we are in one of those halcyon moments, where the masks are off -- even if they shouldn't be -- and Americans are back doing what they do best: consume, spend, go out to eat and then consume and spend some more.
There are times in the stock market where the collective mindset is revealed. This is one of those times: Things are cool, it's not a big moment, there's no real news for a bit, it's the historically strong period and we can reach some conclusions about where we are.
When things are like this, it is important to remember that buyers like to revert to tried-and-true companies that thrive no matter what. These are companies that have an edge and are better at what they do than other companies.
You know that I am a great believer in index funds, that the average person doesn't have the time or the inclination to research individual stocks. It's a difficult barrier. I think you need to make time to read the quarterly report and listen to the conference call, to Google articles and, if possible, get some research about the companies you own. It is vital that you know what you own, that if I asked you on the street why you like a certain stock, you can give me three reasons. If you don't know how they make their money, who their key clients are and what they make if, then I will tell you that you are over your head and should not own individual stocks. I am reminded by this, because, once again, without a mask, I can be recognized and if I am not holding "Nvidia the Second," I can carry on a conversation.
I have had many in the last two weeks and when I have asked this litany of questions, I find myself at a loss as to why almost no one knew what they owned. But they thirsted for individual stocks, because they, like me, think things are better post pandemic. No, that's not a facetious comment. Many, many stocks did better with a stay-at-home economy. A huge number.
So what do I do? I revert to what others do when you are stumped about how to stay in touch with stocks, but want to do less homework. That means buying stocks that are accessible, not stocks like Unity (U) or Snowflake (SNOW) or Twilio (TWLO) or Okta (OKTA) .
I revert to normal businesses people know and I suggest they Google some articles, peruse the conference call, but, above all, like the company's products so you can buy more if it goes down.
Here's some that I have been telling people I like:
First is Ford (F) . I think the Ford lineup is amazing. The electric F-150 series will be incredible. I am eager to get a Maverick for my family, because it is a smaller pickup that will get the job done for the myriad little things I need to do with this farm I bought from that crazy bitcoin foray. I like the competitive edge of the CEO, who says he is going to bury Elon Musk when the Lightning comes out. I even think the Bronco is cool as all get out. Most important, though? I think the chip shortage is ending. My semiconductor friends are telling me the foundries are producing more feature-rich chips and that means Ford can pump out the trucks small business people love and need. Plus, the used car prices at last have plateaued, according to their most important pricing index. Halcyon times.
Second, Costco (COST) : The samples are coming back. Tell me you don't love the samples. You need things in bulk. You want low prices. You want to get all of the things that people don't think of with Costco, like insurance, hearing-aids -- hey, they are a fortune -- jewelry, things around the house. You go and you will buy far more than you first came for. My kind of store.
The kids love this American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) , which we just bought for my charitable trust, which you can follow along by joining the Action Alerts PLUS club. Jay Schottenstein, the CEO, came on "Mad Money" recently and it's clear that his Aerie model has real staying power: 26 consecutive quarters of double digit growth. No flash in the pan, that one. Number one brand in jeans for the 15 to 25 year old group. The best in the mall. How did I know this? I see the credit card bills.
I got up this morning to do my physical therapy. I have been doing it ever since I hurt my back in February. I have this really cool pair of sneakers that fit me perfectly and I love them, but I am fortunate enough to have a vacation house and I am always taking those shoes with me.
So I went on Amazon (AMZN) this morning and lo and behold I saw them for half price. I bought two pairs. Then I went over everything I have bought in the last year and got a bunch of those things. Then I bought a pair of binoculars, because mine were stolen. I paid half price.
Yep, Amazon's universal. I was talking to Alexa, while I was ordering, getting some new music on, asking questions. I saw that despite all of the Sturm und Drang of Amazon being late with things, all the delivery dates were within range. I didn't click on any ads, and I didn't need the speed of Web Services, but the whole thing reminded me about how special the darned company is. I don't care if it's ahead or behind plan for the moment. I would just buy some more when it goes down.
Finally, Apple (AAPL) . I think people who don't own Apple should look what they are holding at this very moment. Yes, right now. Or look at what's in your lap or on the table besides your fork. And then think about the bill you paid last night without knowing it. Think about what you bought in the App store yesterday. Think about what would happen if it would break or get stolen or, left in the Uber (UBER) , or heaven forbid, be dropped into the pool or in the, yes, toilet.
There, that's what you buy in halcyon times. Stocks of companies you know that if they go lower, because things get less halcyon, you are fine with it and buy more. If things go up, believe me, you will participate.
So accept the moment. Don't try for the hard money. Go for the easy kind. That's the best kind.

🔺Part 1 : cover letter
Cover letter
Cover letter

🔎Stage 3 : Applying for a job position
🔺Part 1 : How to write a cover letter + 5 key points
The cover letter is a key document sent in along with your resume and portfolio for a job application. It is the first item employers would see when reviewing your job application, and hence their first impression of you. The purpose of the cover letter is to grab their attention and convince them to have a look at your resume and portfolio. The contents should give an insight of your attitude, achievements, skills, experience and why you are the best candidate for the job position. You need to convince the employer that you fit in with their company culture and that you are worth the time and effort for an interview.
1️⃣ Display your understanding and interest for the job position.
Few key questions employers ask when recruiting – Do you know our company philosophy, values and culture? Why do you want to join our company? They want to know if you are genuinely interested in them, and motivated to perform if hired.
To answer these questions, prior research and preparation is indispensable to do well. Tap into online resources, talks and the network of people – peers/seniors you know that work for the company, colleagues and teachers to thoroughly familiarize and understand the company – How does the company function? How do the teams work? What type of projects do they deal with? Which projects have they completed?
2️⃣ Understand the job requirements: Magnify your strengths.
Read in detail the company job posting advertisements – What specific needs and requirements are they looking for? What basic software skills do they require? What additional skills and experience would value-add to your application?
Landscape architects need to deal with a wide range of jobscope. For young professionals whom just joined the field, it may be tough to display a comprehensive amount of matured skillset. As such, emphasize your strengths in the cover letter and abilities that you are confident will meet the job requirements.
3️⃣ Value + Meeting requirements = YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE!
In summary, the purpose of the cover letter is to show your "value" and clearly point out to the employer why they should hire you. Fresh graduates should not only be able to meet the basic requirements of the job position, but also display your thirst to learn, goals and that you have potential. If you already have work experience, you can mention your ambitions – What to you want to achieve? What value can you add to the company?
4️⃣ Self-recommendation – Creating your own job vacancy.
If you are interested in a particular company that is not hiring, you can still send in your application documents to show your strong interest and initiative. Do not be afraid as there likely won’t be other competitors, you might also gain unexpected benefits instead.
After sending in your application, it is recommended to wait for 1-2 weeks before calling, or sending another email for a follow-up action.
5️⃣ VISA status and requirements.
Even if you already have a visa to work or intern in the UK, do mention these details at the end of the cover letter – Current visa type, eligible working hours, visa expiry date, etc.
If you require a work visa, some people suggest to be explicit about it while some suggest to not bring up the matter until the company ask due to the fear of their application being directly rejected prior to considerations.
However, rather than spending time worrying over visa employment issues, why not work on your resume and portfolio to impress and convince the company that you are a candidate worthy for the effort to hire in the first place.

一個個隔間著moderator在按 ‘ignore’ it means the post remains on the website和’delete’ which means the post is taken down.
(Show burma civil war)
2019年6月美國媒體網絡The Verge在Youtube上載了一條 ‘inside the traumatic life of a Facebook moderator’ 得到主流媒體的關注.
“The video depicts a man being Murdered. Someone is stabbing him dozens of times, while he screams and begs for his life. Chloe feels an overpowering urge to sob. She leaves the room and begins to cry so hard she has trouble breathing. No one comforts her. This is the job she was hired to do.”
I want to start by saying a disclaimer: the points from this point forward are allegations from various individuals and not empirical facts. Additional information are quotes taken from mainstream new sources.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen people hurting themselves and others on Facebook— if we’re going to build a safe community, we need to respond quickly.
And so many people were fooled into the war.
A total of 2.8 billion people use facebook. I remember when I was kid my favorite movie was the social network that talked about Mark zuckerberg creating Facebook. The initial reason he did that was because the prestigious Phoenix club at Harvard didn’t accept him. He hated them. So he made his own club, facebook. That was exclusive to him and the people he deemed fit. And I guess in some way today, facebook has now become the Phoenix club he once hated. Only now he is on top, and facebook is the most non exclusive, exclusive club in the world.

being fit公司 在 Janice 衛蘭 《You're Always Everything To Me》官方歌詞版lyric video Youtube 的評價
Janice 衛蘭 全新派台作 《You're Always Everything To Me》
This is a song about being true to your feelings. Acknowledging how you feel at the moment and don't hold it back because feelings that aren't dealt with will always come back to hunt you
– Janice
衛蘭最新派台歌《You’re Always Everything To Me》唱的就是這種遺撼的感覺。
Janice對於新作感到非常滿意:「這次是我第二次灌錄《You’re Always Everything To Me》,感覺很熟悉。

You’re Always Everything To Me

You’re always everything to me
You’re always everything to me
You’re always everything to me
You’re always everything to me
You’re always everything to me
You’re always everything to me
