🎭In 2016, Pete Docter bounded on to the stage at the Academy Awards to accept an Oscar. But during his descent from that artistic Everest, the director of Pixar’s “Inside Out” was surprised to find that he didn’t feel any different. The win hadn’t fulfilled him.

Could I be doing something more either for myself or for the world?” The turmoil within Mr. Docter sparked the idea for Pixar’s latest, “Soul”. It’s a metaphysical adventure in which the protagonist faces the same question that Mr. Docter had to answer for himself: What is the meaning of life?

👻“Soul” grapples with that age-old philosophical dilemma of whether there’s any purpose to life. “We try to make it fun and approachable by dramatizing that in the form of these two characters,” says Mr. Docter. “One who’s basically an essentialist. He believes, ‘I was given this thing of music and that’s what I’m meant to do.’ And then we have this soul who refuses to go down and be born on Earth. She is kind of a nihilist. You know, there’s no point to anything.”

Movie outings are always more fun when you are with friends!

We were at the preview of Dora and The Lost City of Gold yesterday and these kids, who were seated side by side, kept laughing throughout the whole show. I asked them afterwards "Why did you all keep laughing ah?" And they said "Because the show is funny and we are happy!"

Well, we've known Dora for a decade now and have over two dozen of her storybooks in our library and even a set of her DVDs - in Mandarin and Spanish okay, haha, that was before Netflix and Smart TV came along - which we watched often when I was alone with the big girl back in Sweden. Dora is all about having an adventurous spirit, never giving up in the face of adversity, being true to yourself and geniunely nice to everyone around you.

I love how the movie features the classic characters like Boots and Swiper and how there is even a short cartoon segment that brings back the fond memories - Hello Benny, Isa, Tico and the adorable Backpack. Every time Dora tried to sing a song to make everyone feel better, I couldn't help but smile and love her big heart. The story of Dora entering high school and trying her best to make friends is also a reminder for the kids to be who they are deep within and not let others take that away from you. True friends don't judge and will love you for who you are.

Even though the story is a little predictable for the hubby and I, we still found ourselves laughing out loud at many parts of the movie and enjoyed it tremendously with our kids too. Yup, considering we've read and watched so many of her stories, it's nice to see it on the big screen for the first time and Isabela Moner, who looks just like Dora, did an amazing job in making the character come alive.

The movie opens on 29 August in cinemas. If your kids love Dora, don't miss this for the world. If your kids have no idea who she is but loves a little adventure, humour and thrill, this will be a good way to keep them happy and the whole family entertained too. 《Sekiro Shadows Die Twice》will launch worldwide for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on March 22, 2019, publisher Activision and developer From Software announced. Digital pre-orders will open today in select markets.

In addition to the standard edition, a Collector’s Edition including the following items will also be available：

At Gamescom 2018 in Cologne, Germany from August 21 to 25, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be playable for the first time by the public. Features playable in the Gamescom 2018 demo include：

■ Sword Combat: The core combat in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is measured by an intense clash of steel. Players will take command of special Sword Arts to supplement their regular attacks, and tear down enemy defenses before sealing the final blow.

■ Shinobi Prosthetic: Players can equip and switch between a variety of unique Prosthetic Tools to find the weakness of a formidable enemy. Additionally, tools such as the Grappling Hook can be utilized to bring an extra dimension to exploration and traversal throughout the world of the game.

■ Resurrection: Used as an opportunity for a tactical retreat or to deceive an enemy and go on the counter-offensive, this new combat strategy allows players to resurrect on the spot, even after a hasty death.
