Selalu dengar people complaining that they want new fresh stories or new fresh faces in the cinemas. But skali skala when it comes your way you wait to see what the whole world thinks before going to experience the film for yourself, and by that time the cinemas will say that this small story is not making them money so they pull a local film out to make room for international block busters. (Hey, it’s a business to them after all). Or worst there are people already sharing this small story online. Tanpa rasa bersalah people are watching illegally on a tiny screen. That’s not cinema. When our local film industry dies or the stories that do come out makes you feel that it does not represent you or your generation and all you get is mindless, brain numbing entertainment kosong jangan konon konon terkejut ye. It’s the small stories like this that keeps me going. When small stories like these don’t get enough support people with money won’t invest in it anymore and all you will get is the same stories again and again and again. I worry for the future. So I do what I can. When there is a film I like and I believe more people should watch it I tend to be overly supportive. That’s all we can do, support. No film is perfect but I personally believe that this film and its makers managed to capture a generation and they captured it well.
