Fireteam: Dirty Bomb จะแบ่งผู้เล่น 40 คนออกเป็น 4 ทีม ทีมละ 10 คน ภารกิจของโหมดนี้คือการรวบรวมแร่ยูเรเนียมและจุดระเบิด Dirty Bomb ซึ่งจะเป็นรังสีอันตรายใช้ในการฆ่าผู้เล่นอื่น แต่ผู้เล่นโหมดนี้จะสามารถเกิดใหม่ได้เรื่อย ๆ โดย Respawn Teammate หรือเกิดกับเพื่อนร่วมทีมของเรา หรือกระโดดร่มลงไปยังสมรภูมิต่อสู้ได้

เงื่อนไขการเอาชนะของโหมดนี้คือทีมไหนทำคะแนนได้ถึงเป้าหมายก่อนไม่ว่าจะเป็นจากการฆ่าผู้เล่นอื่น หรือจุดชนวนระเบิดก็จะชนะไป และในโหมดนี้จะมี 2 แผนที่ให้เราได้เลือกเล่นกัน

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War จะเปิดทดสอบให้เล่นกันฟรี ๆ แบบทุกแพลตฟอร์มในวันที่ 17-19 ตุลาคมนี้ ใครอยากดเทสเกม เทสเครื่องตัวเอง (สำหรับ PC) ว่าไหวหรือไม่ ก็รอเข้าไปเล่นกันได้ โดยตอนนี้เกมเปิดให้ดาวน์โหลดล่วงหน้ารอเอาไว้แล้วด้วย

The winning conditions of this mode are which teams score first, whether it's from killing other players or ignition, the bomb will win and in this mode there will be 2 maps for us to choose from.

โดยคุณ Tony Flame แห่งบริษัท Treyarch ได้กล่าวบน Twitter ว่าการทดสอบ Beta ของ Black Ops Cold War ที่จะเริ่มต้นในวันที่ 10 ต.ค. นี้ จะได้รับการปรับปรุงจาก Alpha อยู่จนหลายคนอาจจะแปลกใจว่าทีมงานสามารถพัฒนามันให้ดีขึ้นได้ในหลายๆ แง่ในระยะเวลาอันสั้น

นอกจากนี้ Flame ยังกล่าวว่า Beta นี้จะเป็นการดาวน์โหลดแยกอีกเกม ดังนั้นผู้เล่นที่เคยโหลดเกมช่วง Alpha มาก่อนสามารถลบไฟล์ที่โหลดมาไว้ได้เลย

ผู้ที่สั่งจอง Black Ops Cold Wars ล่วงหน้าบน PS4 จะได้สิทธิ์ในการเล่น Beta ก่อน ตามมาด้วยผู้เล่นทั่วไปบน PS4 ในวันที่ 10 ต.ค. และผู้เล่นที่สั่งจองเกมบนแพลตฟอร์มอื่นๆ จะเริ่มได้เล่นในวันที่ 15 ต.ค. และผู้เล่นทุกคนบนทุกแพลตฟอร์มสามารถเข้าทดสอบ Beta ได้ฟรี ในวันที่ 17 ต.ค.
