11 PHIM & SERIES TÀI LIỆU ĐÁNG XEM NHẤT

Đối với mình, phim điện ảnh là phương tiện tuyệt vời để đưa ta đến những thế giới khác của trí tưởng tượng, nhưng phim tài liệu lại đưa ta đến thế giới thực tế xung quanh ta và những điều ít biết về thế giới này. Danh sách này mình sẽ loại gần như mọi series giật gân và chỉ tập trung vào chất lượng kiến thức, trải nghiệm mà nó mang lại cho bạn sau khi xem.

HOW TO BECOME A T.Y.R.A.N.T

Một series tài liệu thông minh, hóm hỉnh và không hề ngán. 5 tập của series này sẽ chỉ bạn những cách để trở thành một tên đ.ộ.c t.à.i với những ví dụ của những người như vậy trong lịch sử loài người. Những chiêu thức như thao túng thông tin, mind game, v.v… được lồng ghép thông minh. Nếu bạn yêu thích chính trị và có chút kiến thức về lịch sử thì xem series này vô cùng hợp. Với giọng dẫn truyện của Peter Dinklage (Tyrion trong Game of Thrones) càng khiến series này xuất sắc hơn.

FANTASTIC FUNGI

Okay, đây là một bộ phim tài liệu về nấm, nấm và nấm. Phim dài 1 tiếng rưỡi với phần hình ảnh trau chuốt, kiểu há hốc mồm và lối dẫn chuyện duyên dáng. Bạn sẽ được hiểu vì sao nấm là một mắc xích quan trọng trong tự nhiên và bất ngờ với những fun facts như số lượng loài nấm hiện diện nhiều gấp 3 lần số lượng loài thực vật. Rất đáng xem và đặc biệt nếu xem cùng trẻ để cùng học những điều mới càng tốt.

JOANNA LUMLEY’s ADVENTURE

Tuần trước mình vô tình lướt Netflix thì thấy một travel documentary khiến mình click vô xem thử với tên gọi “Trans-Siberia Adventure” chuyến tàu dài nhất đi từ Trung Quốc đến Moscow, một trong những hành trình mình muốn “trải” nhất trong cuộc đời. Thế là xem. Một series này chỉ có 3 tập, tập đầu là hành trình đi từ Hong Kong đi tàu thường đến Bắc Kinh. Từ đây chuyến tàu bắt đầu đi xuyên qua Mông Cổ. Tập 2 là hành trình đến Mông Cổ ngắn gọn nhưng ấn tượng, khiến mình nghĩ phải làm chuyến đến Mông Cổ trong thời gian hết dịch. Thật thán phục một đất nước ít người nhưng luôn giữ được một văn hoá đặc trưng của riêng mình. Rồi đến Nga, thấy được sự khó khăn khi băng qua biên giới và cả sự hiếu khách, vodka, những lát cắt văn hoá thú vị của Nga vĩ đại. Tất nhiên, không thể thiếu những câu chuyện lịch sử được lồng ghép thú vị về Nga để cho người xem có thêm kiến thức.

Điểm cộng là cô dẫn Joanna Lumley nói chuyện rất chỉn chu và có sự dễ mến, quay đẹp vì của BBC nên khó chê được. Tất nhiên, vì là đài truyền hình quay nên khi tới mỗi nơi cũng được tiếp đón khá nồng nhiệt, chắc chắn trải nghiệm thực tế của dân thường tụi mình thì sẽ khác lắm.

Ngoài ra, cô còn có series về Nhật Bản (cực đẹp), và Con Đường Tơ Lụa (4 tập với nội dung mình đánh giá hay nhất) rất đáng xem. 3 series này ngắn, gãy gọn nên rất phù hợp để tối xem, du lịch tại nhà.

MY OCTOPUS TEACHER

Bộ phim tài liệu được giải Oscar năm 2021 này đưa chúng ta theo chân Craig Foster, một nhà làm phim đang tìm lại nguồn cảm hứng sống ở Nam Phi, nơi ông dành 1 năm cố làm bạn với một chú bạch tuộc trong vùng biển. Một bộ phim tài liệu đầy xúc cảm với những thước phim quay tuyệt đẹp như điện ảnh thực thụ. Và chủ đề cũng hấp dẫn không kém.

CHEF’S TABLE

Một series về ẩm thực mà bạn không cần xem theo thứ tự. Cứ chọn một câu chuyện của một đầu bếp bất kỳ mà xem. Và nếu được hãy chọn câu chuyện của nhà sư người Hàn Quốc Jeong Kwan trong Volume 3, cũng là tập mình thích nhất để nghe triết lý và phong cách tu của nữ tu sỹ này ở Hàn và được hoà quyện cùng ẩm thực ra sao.

DON’T F**K WITH CATS

Mình bị cuốn hút docu-series dài 3 tập này vì cái tên rất ấn tượng và bởi có chữ “mèo” trong đó. Nhưng docu-series này không “dễ thương” như cách mình hình dung khi nghe chữ “mèo” cho lắm.

Don’t f**k with cats là một bộ docuseries gồm ba phần được viết và đạo diễn bởi Mark Lewis, kể về sự kiện có thật về tên sát nhân Luke Magnotta bị theo dõi và bắt giữ vào năm 2012. Quá trình bắt giữ hắn ta được một nhóm những người yêu mèo vô tình trông thấy một video được đăng trên Youtube một kẻ b.ệ.n.h h.o.ạ.n đang g.i.ế.t một chú mèo. Nhóm đã lập lên một Facebook Group để tìm tên sát nhân này với những manh mối nhìn thấy được trong video. Như để trêu ngươi và làm mồi nhử nhóm Facebook Group yêu mèo kia, tên bệnh hoạn này tiếp tục tung nhiều video tiếp theo. Và cuối cùng là một video hắn biến nạn nhân của hắn từ mèo thành người thật.

Một bộ docuseries khiến mình sởn da gà, đôi lúc bị cuốn vào như xem một bộ phim hành động, phá án đích thực nhưng được kể bởi người thật, và những cái chết của các chú mèo và một người đàn ông xấu số. Series khiến người xem bần thần sau khi xem xong, với cách kể chuyện khéo léo và độ chân thật và cách cắt ghép với footage thật khiến câu chuyện chân thực như vừa diễn ra ngày hôm qua. Don’t f**k with cats là một trong những series về tội phạm hay nhất được Netflix phát hành trong năm 2019.

THIS IS POP

Nhạc Pop cũng có lịch sử của riêng nó, và series này đưa bạn đi khám phá quá trình tiến hoá của nhạc Pop, những hình thái, những lần giao thoa với những dòng nhạc khác. Các khách mời đều là các ca sỹ nổi tiếng để đưa cho bạn kiến thức chuyên sâu về dòng nhạc đại chúng này.

ANDRÉ & HIS OLIVE TREE

Phim nói về André và nhà hàng cùng tên của anh ở Singapore được 2 sao Michelin danh giá. Nhưng anh quyết định đóng cửa nhà hàng vào năm 2018 sau 8 năm hoạt động. Phim tài liệu tìm hiểu những triết lý ẩm thực của vị đầu bếp tài hoa này và lý do vì sao anh chọn đóng cửa nhà hàng khi tất cả nhân viên, phóng viên, chuyên gia ẩm thực đều mong chờ anh sẽ mang về ngôi sao Michelin thứ 3 cho nhà hàng. Một bộ phim tài liệu thư giãn, điện ảnh và tinh tế mà bạn nên xem.

Series này gồm 2 seasons với 8 tập. Mỗi tập sẽ đưa bạn đến với câu chuyện của những bộ phim kinh điển những năm 80 và 90. Từ Dirty Dancing đến Pretty Woman. Những câu chuyện hậu trường, và ảnh hưởng đến văn hoá đại chúng mà những bộ phim kinh điển này mang lại. Những tập mình thích nhất là Pretty Woman, Home Alone, Forrest Gump.

STREET FOOD (ASIA & LATIN AMERICA)

Docuseries về ẩm thực Châu Á gồm 8 tập, mỗi tập đi qua một thành phố nổi tiếng về ẩm thực tại Châu Á: Bangkok, Osaka, Delhi, Yogyakarta, Chiayi, Seoul, Sài Gòn, Singapore, Cebu. Môi tập xoáy lăng kính vào cuộc đời của một người buôn bán thức ăn, những nỗi khổ khi lập nghiệp và mang hương vị của mình ra những con đường và đến với thực khách. Trong mỗi tập cũng lồng ghép những người bán ẩm thực địa phương khác với các món ăn đặc trưng của thành phố. Các tập hay nhất mà Cơ thấy nên xem là Bangkok, Osaka, & Chiayi. Ngoài ra còn có series về ẩm thực Mỹ Latinh, sẽ rất hợp xem để biết thêm về những nơi xa xôi ấy mà giờ không đi được.

Cherry and I met 8+ years ago through work and since the first day I met her, I adored her make up, hairstyling and fashion style. She is in the industry a few years more than me, and she has been a very important person shaping who I am and my photography career, going through ups and downs with me, always encouraging and helping me to become a better person.

As I always say to my clients “even if you bring no outfits to the shoot, as long as we have Cherry on set we are good”. You can see how she has been helping to creating the magic in my photographs.
