There are many other attractions in Osaka that are worth coming, and the cherry blossoms are coming after the season! We came to the light travel of Gaochun City and just met the carp season!! Seeing thousands of squid flags in the air is really spectacular! !

I was in Osaka earlier this year in cherry blossom season. My thoughts go out to everyone in Japan at the moment. It's terrible what people have been going through this week, so here's a reminder of a better time there and what an amazing place it is.

Cherry blossom viewing at the Mint Bureau in Osaka . It's only open for 1 week in the entire year, just to see the sakura, so we were really lucky to be there!

There were 500m of cherry blossom trees, and two 500m double rows of food stalls, with all kinds of Japanese street food. It was an unbelievable experience, and so busy but an amazing atmosphere. If you want to go, it's free to get in, and the Osaka Mint is only open for 1 week in mid April. It was open 11-18 April 2018 (check the dates in case it changes each time).
