Via coincidence, I was about to cook a Portuguese-Porto "Francesinha" since I can't visit Macau 🇲🇴 🇵🇹 to eat one, but I suddenly saw it pop up on @where_is_alfie 's IG Story 👀. It turns out【Duck & Waffle Hong Kong 🦆】is selling one briefly for their 1st Anniversary Celebration !

The "Francesinha" HKD$250 by design, is a boosted up concept between a French Croque Monsieur x Portuguese Bife a Casa/Prego Steak Sandwich which suits the locals preference for Steak & Eggs, known as one of the Best Sandwiches in the World 🌍🤔 - this one is a loyal rendition since it was created by ex-executive Chef Daniel Barbosa who was born near Porto:
•Toasted White Bread
•Portuguese Linguiça sausage 🌶
•Additional White Sausage for HK recipe
•Grilled Beef Steak
•Fried Duck Egg 🦆🥚
•Gruyere Cheese
•Hot Beer based sauce

Usually the sauce is proprietary and lends a soul to the final Character..! Reminds me also of a Welsh Rarebit on steroids. So overjoyed to discover this on the Duck & Waffle HK celebratory menu, since this is usually on the London late night menu! I think I ordered it on last day it's served here, but wished they can sustain it longer & ideally serve with some fries on the side! 😬😝

Không hẹn mà gặp, lịch nghệ thuật tháng 2 của Sài Gòn đầy ắp những hình ảnh và suy tư về thiên nhiên mỗi triển lãm là một cách diễn giải khác. Tuần trước, tại Galerie Quynh khai mạc triển lãm ‘Giao điểm thảm hoạ’ của hoạ sỹ người Pháp Francois Andes. Qua tranh vẽ và sắp đặt của mình, Andes đặt câu hỏi về quá trình phát triển của mối quan hệ giữa con người và thiên nhiên, đặc biệt là các hệ sinh thái các dòng nước và rừng. Sau đó, nghệ sỹ Võ Trân Châu đã có một lễ Tình Nhân đặc biệt tại The Factory Contemporary Arts Centre với triển lãm ‘Nhặt lá rừng xưa’. Không trực tiếp nói về thiên nhiên, Võ Trân Châu truy vấn nhu cầu phát triển bằng mọi giá của con người và hệ quả của chúng qua những tác phẩm tranh ghép được làm từ vải vụn.

‘Giao điểm thảm hoạ’ sẽ diễn ra đến ngày 28/03/2020 ‘Nhặt lá rừng xưa’ sẽ diễn ra đến ngày 10/04/2020.

Such a coincidence that Saigon’s #February art calendar is predominantly about the theme of #nature with each exhibition is a different approach. Last week, #GalerieQuynh opened the exhibition ‘The Crossing of Disaster’ by the French artist #FrancoisAndes. Through painting and installation, Andes’ works pose the question about the relationship between human beings and nature and its evolution through time. The day after, artist #VoTranChau has celebrated Valentine’s Day in a special way at #TheFactory with ‘Leaf Picking in the Ancient Forest’. Though the exhibition doesn’t speak about nature directly, it deals with the consequences of developing at all costs through mosaic paintings made from textile waste.

‘The Crossing of Disaster’ will be on view until 28/02/2020, while ‘Leaf Picking in the Ancient Forest’ ‘til 10/04/2020.

👉👉👉Also, San Art’s 12-year anniversary exhibition – ‘Opaque Signs’ will come to an end after today. Do catch it before it closes!
