Crispy Chewy Sourdough Cookies 🍪
INGREDIENTS
* 180g softened butter
* 1/4 cup/ 25g of granulated sugar
* 1/4 cup / 25g brown sugar
* 1 medium egg
* 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
* 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 cup Chocolate chips
* 1&1/4 cup All purpose flour / 150g
* 1 cup of unfed sourdough starter. (NOTE : If you don’t have sourdough starter, then you may also substitute with 1/4 cup of milk + 1/4 cup of wholewheat flour or any flour, it will become NORMAL chocolate chips cookie * (I have never tried this cause I baked the cookies with my discarded sourdough starter to avoid wastage) �
Instruction
1. Add the egg into mixture and stir until incorporated.�
2. Stir in the sourdough starter and vanilla extract.�
3. Add the flour, salt, and baking soda, careful to not overmix. �
4. Finally, incorporate the chocolate chips and let the dough refrigerate for 30 minutes or refrigerate up to overnight. �
5. When ready to bake the cookies, preheat the oven to 200C (Let the refrigerated cookies come to room temperature.)�
6. Drop spoonful of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake in a preheated oven for 200 degree 10-15mins.
