The big sister goes to Primary 5 while the little sister starts her Primary 2 journey. Woohoo! I surprised them by waiting for them opposite their school at dismissal and was glad to see them wearing their caps and holding hands to cross the road together. Awwww. They thought I wouldn't be there but hey, it's the first day of school after all, right?
The big girl said she was buddy to two P1 girls and it warmed my heart to see the photo of her guiding and helping them out during recess time (thanks to my PSG friends who helped to capture it). Yup, it's a sign of how fast and big she has grown even though she is still considered petite for her age - you should see how much taller some of her peers are. She resumes her school captain duties today and has also been awarded the elusive Edusave Character Award - which totally surprised us - for her good behaviour in school. Proud of you, my dear. 长大了，宝贝，要更懂事了，知道吗?
As for the little sister, she is still in her honeymoon period and happy to be reunited with the same teachers and friends once more. Another of my PSG friend (yes, you all are very nice ley!) took a shot of her happily eating her western food during recess and sent it to me. Seeing her big, wide smile made me smile too. Can't call her bogei anymore because all her teeth are growing out already. Haha. Yup, this one is also growing up quickly but she still likes me to call her my baby girl, which she will always be.
While the two sisters are just happy to be back in school, the little brother on the other hand bawled his eyes out on his first day of Kindergarten 1 and refused to let go of Mama. Haha. Three hours of separation seemed like an eternity for this one. Kids from the same factory can be so different in personalities, right? Whatever it is, we are looking forward to the rest of twenty twenty! Hope all of your kids had a good first day in school today too, especially those who are starting in a new one. It's gonna be an awesome year!
