=================================
--------------------------------------------------
When is good for you?
時間だけを尋ねるのであれば「What time is is good for you?(何時がいい?)」、曜日であれば「What day is good for you?(何曜日がいい?)」、日付であれば「What/Which date is good for you?(何日がいい?)」、日時に加え場所も含めて尋ねるのであれば「What's good for you?(あなたの都合は?)」
<例文>
A: Let's meet tomorrow. What time is good for you?
B: How about 11AM? Does that work for you?
A: I can meet up for lunch any time this week. What day is good for you?
B: Let's see. Why don't we do lunch on Wednesday then.
A: I have to check my work schedule but I can probably take some time off in late August or early September. What's good for you?
B: Late August works for me too!
--------------------------------------------------
1) What/When would be best for you?
上記同様、時間だけを尋ねるのであれば「What time would be best for you?(何時がご都合よろしいでしょうか?)」、曜日であれば「What day would be best for you?(何曜日がご都合よろしいでしょうか?)」、日付であれば「What/Which date would be best for you?」
--------------------------------------------------
2) Please let me know when is convenient for you
--------------------------------------------------
この表現もビジネスシーンではよく用いられ、上記の「What/When would be best for you?」
<例文>
A: So what would be best for you?
B: How about tomorrow at 2?
A: Please let me know what time is convenient for you.
B: I can drop by at 5.
A: I'd like to schedule a Skype meeting sometime next week. What day and time would be best for you?
B: I'm available next Tuesday from 1PM.
A: My schedule is pretty flexible. Just let me know what day is convenient for you.
B: The only day I'm available this week is Thursday night. Does that work?

drop off the meeting 在 FAKE 文青 Facebook 的最佳解答
她說:「Everyday is a learning day. I hope you enjoy all learning these days。」
Interview 時,總是說「即使自己的能力不足,但我相信我在逼科學到的soft skills,可以令我stand out from the crowd。」

=================================
--------------------------------------------------
1) _____ and _____.
例えば「トイレを掃除するついでにお風呂も掃除をした」を英語にするなら「I cleaned the bathroom and scrubbed the bathtub.」
✔as wellやtooを文末に加えてもOK。
<例文>
I walked the dog and went grocery shopping.
I did the laundry and vacuumed the living room as well.
I went to the coin laundry and the post office.
--------------------------------------------------
2) While you're at it
While you're at itを直訳すると「あなたがそこにいる間」となることから、このフレーズは基本的に自分以外の誰かが何かをしている間に(=ついでに)何かをして欲しいとお願いをする状況で使われます。例えば、ルームメイトが洗濯していたら「Can you do my laundry while you're at it?(ついでに僕の洋服も洗濯してくれる?)」
✔While I'm at itやWhile we're at itという言い方もできる。
<例文>
Can you install that software in my laptop while you're at it?
Why don't you study English while you're at it?
I'm making dinner right now. You know what? I'll just prepare our lunch for tomorrow while I'm at it.
--------------------------------------------------
3) While you're there/here
While you're at itと根本的な用法は同じです。While you're at itは“何かをしているついで”を意味するのに対し、この「While you're there」は“どこかにいるついで”を意味します。 とお願いするなら「Can you pick me up an iced coffee while you're there?」
<例文>
While you're there, can you buy some milk? We ran out.
While you guys are there, you should visit the Tokyo tower. It's only one station away.
While you're there, can you tell James about tomorrow's meeting.
--------------------------------------------------
4) On the way
例えば、「銀行へ行くついでにコンビニに行ってお菓子を買ってくるよ」と言う場合は「On the way to the bank, I'll swing by the convenience store and buy some snacks.」となります。
✔On the wayの代わりにOn one's wayを使ってもOK。
<例文>
I'll drop you off at school on the way to work.
I'll stop by your office on my way home.
On the way to Fukuoka, we stopped by Osaka and ate steamed pork buns at 551 Horai.

The second day of Kolkata was just as eye opening as the first. The honking has been absolutely nuts but we are slowly getting used to the sound. Or maybe we are slowly going deaf. Either way, it's becoming more manageable.
The fascinating thing is that, despite all of the madness, the beauty of India totally makes up for the rest of it. There is so much going on in every corner of the city. You are forever mesmerized by the colours and people... and so much more. I'm loving India.

Started off the morning late again. Jet lag and general miscommunication can be thanked for that. but once we were out of the hotel, we were straight into the Uber and headed off to Tiretta Market.
Lost half of the team because we have to travel everywhere in two taxis and trying to get the taxis to drop us off in the same place is VERY challenging. We communicate via walkie talkie most of the time but this time, they were really lost out there.
We met a lovely Chinese lady who spoke fluent English and Hindi and decided to chill with her until the rest of the team showed up.
She was fascinating. He background and life in India was something that I'd never heard of before. It was amazing to see someone with such distinct asian features speaking fluent hindi.
After finally meeting up with the team again, we went to see a chinese restaurant in the city which was all halal. We had lunch there and did some shooting. then we were off again.
We went to see the famous flower market of Kolkata. A sea of noise, colour and of course... traffic. Again, we lost half of the team because the walkies ran out of battery. So we spent a good half an hour hunting down the team. We got all the shots we needed with Bella done as quick as possible.
We weren't able to stay very long there as we had to head off back to the hotel to pack and make it to the train station in time for our train to Varanasi.
It was a mad rush to get to the train station but thankfully the train was delayed by an hour so we made it in time.
The train! WOW! hahaha... not what I was expecting at all. But a true Indian experience to say the least. More to discover tomorrow.

After a drawn-out recruitment by the Memphis Grizzlies, Iverson finally confirmed Wednesday morning that he is indeed ready to sign with them, announcing via his Twitter feed: "God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career."
Referring to a Monday meeting with Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley, general manager Chris Wallace and head coach Lionel Hollins, Iverson added: "I feel that they are committed to developing a winner and I know that I can help them to accomplish that. I feel that I can trust them."
The Grizzlies are believed to be offering Iverson a one-year deal worth $3.5 million, which is far less than the nearly $21 million he earned last season in Denver and Detroit but more than anyone else was prepared to pay the 34-year-old.
At Heisley's behest, Memphis has been pursuing Iverson since July, ignoring concerns about his willingness to accept a reserve role or his ability to co-exist in the same offense with Mayo, Gay and Randolph because of Iverson's presumed ability to generate interest and sell tickets. The Grizzlies, throughout Heisley's ownership, have languished in the shadow of the Memphis Tigers' many successes in the collegiate game.
Grizzlies officials have yet to formally announce the signing but have made it clear since last week that they have merely been waiting for Iverson to take their offer.
In a radio interview Tuesday with WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Wallace sounded hopeful about Iverson ultimately joining the team, saying: "We had a very productive meeting yesterday where both sides got to know each other and what our expectations were. We got to hear Allen out, he got to hear us out and I thought it went pretty well."
Asked specifically about Iverson's well-known aversion to coming off the bench, Wallace said: "He indicated to us that he just wants to come in and help a team out, to get better, to win, and he'll shine during that process. I think Allen Iverson is going to be very fine with whatever role he would end up fulfilling here in Memphis. ... He knows where we're coming from, we know where he's coming from and I think if he comes here it's going to be a very productive marriage."
Monday's sitdown in Atlanta was the first face-to-face contact between Iverson and Grizzlies officials since the process began, with Memphis negotiating to this point primarily with Leon Rose, Iverson's agent.
Iverson has spent much of the past two months hoping that a firm offer would materialize from the Miami Heat, New York Knicks or Charlotte Bobcats, with the latter presenting the possibility of a reunion with former coach Larry Brown. But Iverson was ultimately forced to concede that only the Grizzlies had the financial flexibility and definite interest to pay him more than a minimum salary after his nightmarish stint with the Pistons.
Iverson played in only 57 games last season after being dealt by Denver to Detroit less than a week into the season and averaged a career-low 17.5 points, hampered by a back injury and his open struggles to cope with coming off the bench for the first time in his career. He would end up leaving the Pistons in April by mutual agreement before the playoffs.
But Iverson has insisted in recent days that he is amenable to whatever the Grizzlies have in mind for him as well as the steep drop from last season's salary, writing via Twitter: "Memphis is a place that I would love to play. The Grizzlies have good young players with a great upside. I love the city of Memphis, too.
"I would lead by example," Iverson wrote.
With Mayo at the same position, Mike Conley returning at point guard and Randolph's arrival over the summer, bringing in Iverson would appear to run counter to the Grizzlies' previous intent to develop a group of youngsters which also includes center Marc Gasol and No. 2 overall draft pick Hasheem Thabeet.
Yet in a July interview with ESPN.com, Heisley disputed suggestions that signing Iverson -- the sort of drawing card that the Grizzlies have never had in an eight-season run in Memphis marked by notoriously low attendance figures -- was dangerous or purely motivated by the prospect of ticket sales.
"What appeals to me?" Heisley said, repeating the question. "He's one of the greatest players in the last 10 years in the NBA."
In an interview Wednesday with NBA.com, Heisley said: "He told us he was very interested in playing with the young team we've assembled. He thought he could help us win and he was looking forward to helping the young players, and helping them to develop. Frankly, I'm ecstatic to have him.
"I don't buy into all of the stuff that's gone on. I'm not saying none of it happened. Some of it did ... but I know Allen is an excellent player. He's going to the Hall of Fame. ... The city of Memphis is going to be ecstatic to have him. We've never had a Hall of Famer, a guy of Allen's stature playing in Memphis. I feel Allen is going to be outstanding for us."

Nobody came close to scoring 50. The biggest shot in this game was the one that gave Allen Iverson 30.
Iverson nailed a three-pointer with 2:21 remaining to break the last tie, and the Philadelphia 76ers regained their poise and came up with enough of a balanced attack to beat the Toronto Raptors 84-79 Sunday.
"Nobody ever told me that winning a championship was easy, and I found out the hard way that isn't easy to win a playoff game," said Iverson, who shot 10-for-30 but came though in the clutch after Toronto had rallied from a 16-point deficit.
The 76ers evened the best-of-seven series at two games apiece and regained homecourt advantage heading into Game 5 Wednesday night.
All the news wasn't good, however, as starting small forward George Lynch fractured his left foot in the third quarter and will be out for the rest of the playoffs.
"It's disappointing because we've figured out what we need to do to stop the Raptors in this series -- we have to slow the ball down and get our defense set. We did that today and built a nice comfortable lead for most of the game," Lynch said.
The Sixers also played with the energy and determination that had been missing in Game 3, prompting them to call two players-only meetings to clear the air.
Aaron McKie, the NBA's sixth man of the year, moved into Philadelphia's starting lineup and had 18 points, five assists and five rebounds. He also spent almost the entire game defending Vince Carter, helping hold him to 25 points on 8-for-27 shooting.
Dikembe Mutombo bounced back from a poor Game 3 and had 13 points and 17 rebounds for the Sixers, who won despite Tyrone Hill being in foul trouble throughout the game and Lynch leaving late in the third quarter.
"I told them after the meeting that I wasn't worried at all about this game," Iverson said. "I really felt we were going to get this game, and I found out more about my teammates in this game."
Iverson wasn't at his best, shooting 3-for-12 in the second half, but he did hit the one shot that deflated the Raptors after they had spent so much time clawing their way back.
It was a straightaway three-pointer over Carter with 2:21 left that gave the Sixers an 81-78 lead.
"I couldn't make a shot in the second half, but I thought I could make that one and kind of turn things around for us, and fortunately I was able to hit it," Iverson said.
Said Eric Snow: "They had just tied the game and thought they had the momentum, but that was a big momentum-breaker right there."
Antonio Davis and Charles Oakley committed turnovers on Toronto's next two possessions, and Iverson hit Snow with a pass for an open jumper that put Philadelphia ahead 83-78 with 1:48 left.
This series had been marked by spectacular games by Iverson (54 points in Game 2) and Carter (50 in Game 3), but this one was more pedestrian. Iverson finished with 30, while Carter led Toronto with 25.
Davis added 15, Alvin Williams had 14 and Oakley had 11 rebounds and 11 rebounds to accompany a handful of mental errors -- the worst of which came when he dribbled the ball 50 feet upcourt with the clock ticking inside 50 seconds and Toronto trailing by four. Iverson came up behind him and stole the ball.
"I was going for the basket, but he snuck up behind me like a cornerback and made the interception," Oakley said.
McKie, who replaced Snow as a starter, scored 10 points in the third quarter to help keep Philadelphia in front. Lynch injured his left foot late in the same quarter when he stepped on Alvin Williams' foot. He was to undergo surgery Sunday night for a fractured fifth metatarsal.
The problem for the Raptors in the first half was their accuracy -- they managed to get open shots but couldn't put them down. Oakley missed all six of his shots in the half, and Toronto missed 10 in a row during the second quarter to drop their percentage to 22.2.
McKie scored Philadelphia's first eight points of the third quarter, and a three-point play by Mutombo off an offensive rebound gave the Sixers a 60-46 lead.
Oakley hit a 3-pointer with 15 seconds left that allowed Toronto to cut its deficit to 70-61 entering the fourth, and Carter opened the final quarter with a 3-pointer to make it a six-point game.
In most games, that would be when Iverson would start to take over. But Toronto sent double-teams at him and forced him to give the ball up, leading to two missed jumpers by Snow, a forced jumper by Iverson, an offensive goaltending violation and a missed 20-footer by Iverson on the Sixers' next five possessions.
Toronto pulled within three and twice missed chances to get closer, and a layup by Hill -- his first points of the game -- with 4:10 left gave the 76ers a 78-73 lead.
A tip-in by Carter, another missed jumper by Iverson and a 3-pointer by Childs allowed the Raptors to finally tie the game at 78-78 with 2:46 left. But Iverson immediately answered with a 3-pointer, and the Sixers held the lead the rest of the way.
