真的是緣份...... (English writing below)
張英小姐是吾新書《向善向上 2》的台灣漫畫家。我們從未見過面或談話，之前一切的溝通都是透過台灣出版社。
昨晚，看到她分享吾臉書直播的貼文，提到吾漫畫裡的文章，幫她度過一段充滿淚水與恐懼的日子。
「我之前接到漫畫書的案子[向善向上2]，由白象出版社出版，文章作者是玳瑚師父 Master Dai Hu，繪者是我。已經正式出版了。
我在畫這本漫畫的途中，因發生了一些事情，那段日子真的是一言難盡、感觸良多，是段淚水最多、恐懼最多的日子，所以剛好又在畫玳瑚師父的漫畫，因此那時候有一部份是靠師父的文章內容撐下去。我受惠不少，我沒皈依，但他的文章內容/FB粉絲團的部份內容是靈魂爸爸(宇宙)給我的訊息，讓我渡過了這一段的日子。
所以大家對漫畫的內容也有興趣的話，可以參考看看。」
吾認為，真的是緣份。畢竟她不需要做這樣的東西，可見吾的書真的有幫助她，覺得既奇妙又開心。這本書的第一位馬來西亞漫畫家畫了幾則故事就放棄不畫（也是因爲弟子的疏忽），第二位新加坡繪者覺得自己畫不到，第三位答應了後搞失蹤，可能收到故事後嚇到了。後來考慮了幾位，但時間上和畫風配合不來。一番波折後，才透過出版社找到在台灣的張英小姐。這過程耗了一年多的時間。
張英小姐的一番話，也不謀而合的應了弟子在臉書直播裡說的：如果你深夜在被窩裡，想著一些不開心的事時，這本漫畫書能夠啟發妳你。
吾非常願意以吾的文字，拔除妳你的痛苦，把快樂送到妳你心坎裡。

This is truly affinity.
Miss Zhang Ying is the Taiwan illustrator for my new book Towards Kindness, Towards Betterment. We have never met or spoken. All previous communication was done through my Taiwan publisher.
Yesterday, I read her post when she shared my Facebook Live. In it, she wrote about how my writings in the comic helped her pulled through her dark times that was consumed with tears and terror.

"The previous assignment I received, a comic book titled “Towards Kindness Towards Betterment 2”, has been officially published. It is published by White Elephant Publishing House. The author of the articles is Master Dai Hu. I am the illustrator.
While illustrating this book, some things happened. It's a long story. That period brought out a lot of emotions in me and those were days filled with tears and fears, the most I have ever experienced. I happened to be illustrating Master Dai Hu’s comics, so the content in his writings helped me pull through part of the difficult time. I benefited a lot. Even though I did not take refuge, his writings and some post content in his FB fan page were like divine intervention and messages from my father's spirit (the Universe), delivering me from those dark days.
Hence, if you are also interested in the comic content, do take a look at the book."

I couldn't help but exclaimed at how Fate worked. After all, she wasn't obligated to write about my comic book. This shows that my book must had really helped her. I am both amazed and happy.
The first Malaysian comic artist we engaged for this book gave up the project after drawing a few stories. My disciple was partly at fault for negligence. The second Singaporean artist we approached didn't think he could manage this. The third artist pulled a disappearing act after agreeing to draw. I guess the stories my disciple sent over must have given her a shock. We subsequently considered a few more, but either the timing could not be agreed on or the artist's style wasn't what I preferred. After many twists and turns, my publisher stepped in to recommend Miss Zhang Ying. This process took 1 year plus.
What Miss Zhang wrote coincided with what my disciple said in the Facebook Live: In the middle of the night, when you are in bed yet have difficulty sleeping because you are troubled, this book will be able to inspire you.
I am most willing to use my power of writing, to take away your sufferings and bring happiness to the inner depths of your heart.
I had never imagined that Miss Zhang Ying will be the first "beneficiary" of my new comic book. I believe for my fans and readers who have purchased this book, you and the recipients of your book gift, be it your friends, family and/or colleagues, will definitely benefit tremendously too.

一本漫畫書
兩年的尋覓
三組團隊跨國界的奮鬥
換了四個漫畫家
五位數的成本
漫畫選擇全彩色，希望能更吸引讀者，從選故事、改編、漫畫家畫草圖、校對、線稿、校對、上色完稿、再校對，這新加坡台灣一來一往是個很耗時間的過程，但也是必須的。
現在剛完成20%的工作。
這漫畫書也會有英文翻譯，讓非華人、孩童和青少年也能閱讀。
弟子本來不敢跟吾說，這破天荒的成本有多高，因爲怕會花吾很多錢。她還問是否要開設預購，這樣不必用吾那麼多錢。
吾拒絕她的好意。
取之社會，用之社會。吾賺來的錢，本來就是要去利益眾生，而不是用來自己享受。吾出書，也非爲了謀利。虧不虧錢，根本不是問題，能夠讓佛法傳得更遠更廣，才是關鍵。
吾的書，絕對能淨化人心、增長智慧，放在床邊，也能避邪，哈！

One comic book.
Two years of searching.
Three teams of people striving across international borders,
Changed four comic artists
Five-figure production costs
I chose to have the comic in full colour, in hope of attracting more readers. From story selection, adaptation, draft sketches, proof reading, line drawing, proof reading, colouring and further proof-reading, the communication between the Singapore team and the Taiwan team is a time-guzzling process, but an absolutely necessary one.
The project is now 20% completed.
This comic shall also come with English subtitles, so that non-Chinese people, young children and teens can also read it.
Initially, my disciple did not dare to tell me the sky-high cost needed to produce this work, as she was worried about using too much of my money. She even asked if I wished to start a pre-order first, so that I do not have to cough up so much money.
I declined her good intention.
I stand by giving back to society when one has benefited from it. My money is meant to help and benefit sentient beings, and never for my own enjoyment. It is also not my intention to profit from this venture of publishing a comic book. It does not matter even if I lost money in the process. What is important to me is that the Dharma can spread wider and further through this comic.
My comic book can definitely cleanse your heart, and grow your wisdom. Putting it by your bedside can even ward off evil! Ha!
I am thankful to the comic artist for depicting me in such a cute manner. I am appreciative to White Elephant Publishing for their help in many areas.
