Had a delightful surprise while I was away in China! Bumped into Cultural Medallion recipient Chua Mia Tee while having breakfast in the hotel. He was holidaying in Beijing with his daughter. It’s always good to run into fellow countrymen, when away from home! – LHL

Tomorrow (21 July) is Racial Harmony Day. Many students will be marking this occasion in school by dressing in ethnic clothes and holding cultural events.
Despite belonging to different races and religions, we live harmoniously together as one people. This is a result of many years of shared experiences such as NS and NDP, learning to appreciate and cherish our diversity, and facing our challenges confidently together. We must never forget that this harmony does not come naturally, and continue to nurture and protect it. – LHL
