九代的故事丟出了唐老大的弟弟雅各這步棋，這是在宣傳上丟出話題的一個手段，也是企圖要吸引觀眾眼球進場的第一招，但是對於製作團隊而言，就變成第一個課題，於是故事拉回到1989年的唐老大年輕時期，這下子唐老大除了街頭車王的身份，前面就又多了一個老爸是頂尖賽車手，父親從小就在一場車賽當中過世的設定，然後再拉出他有一個弟弟，從小活在備受寵愛的哥哥的陰影底下，在述說哥哥不諒解弟弟害死父親而與弟弟斷絕關係，然後兩兄弟在長大之後，弟弟成為「超級間諜」，間接解釋了唐老大這個街頭混混為何能夠被小人物相中成為國際探員的理由。
