炎炎的夏日, 「Jazz Supreme 爵士．無所不在」特別為聽眾們準備了一系列的大樂團音樂, 用這些音樂陪伴大家度過這日漸升溫的天氣. 這一系列的大樂團都是主持人Vincent所鍾愛的大樂團音樂, 有些大樂團的存在是專門為某些音樂家量身定做, 而有些大樂團的團長終極一生只錄製過少數的大樂團專輯, 有些大樂團雖然原始創團團長已過世, 但樂團還是充滿生命力的在舞台上發光發熱.
今晚的Thelonious Monk Orchestra At Town Hall是爵士歷史上令人興奮的一頁. 向來以四重奏或獨奏著稱的鋼琴手Thelonious Monk, 在1959年於Town Hall錄製了一張以他的原創作品為主的大樂團作品. 專輯的編曲由著名的編曲家/鋼琴家Hall Overtone操刀, 為Monk的音樂帶來了大樂團的版本. 當時在茱莉亞音樂學院任教的Hall Overtone與Monk的合作不只成為樂迷津津樂道的過往, 也讓這張專輯成為經典中的經典.
