【伊朗 🇮🇷 伊斯法罕】上回講到凡克主教座堂（Vank Cathedral）背後有一段悲慘歷史。係呀，係阿美尼亞種族滅絕大屠殺 😨

呢座教堂響1606年建成，教堂內籠上方係關於聖經嘅故事壁畫，而下方嘅壁畫就係比喻阿美尼亞人遭受逼害嘅慘況。當時波斯帝國（Persia，即係現今伊朗）同奧斯曼帝國（Ottoman，即係而家嘅土耳其）打仗，戰事期間奧斯曼借啲依將佢哋唔鍾意嘅亞美尼亞人（Armenian）驅逐出境。波斯君王Shah Abbas 於是決定響國都伊斯法罕南部New Julfa 地區收留15萬流離失所嘅阿美尼亞難民。

你又會問：阿美尼亞響邊度㗎？其實佢位處小亞細亞，響土耳其東邊。呢個國家歷史悠久，但係幾千年來就多災多難，不斷被人攻打、佔據、剝削、迫害。1375年奧斯曼帝國完全佔據統治亞美尼亞，嗰度嘅人自此飽受種族與宗教歧視，冇日安寧。

一次世界大戰後1915-1917年期間，當時嘅土耳其政府針對境內嘅亞美尼亞人展開種族清洗大屠殺，同納粹黨對猶太人嘅大屠殺不相百仲。據說當時有超過150萬亞美尼亞人因此死亡，生還嘅就流亡到鄰國如伊拉克、伊朗；不過至今土耳其政府都仲否認呢件事。所以凡克主教座堂裡面有個博物館，除咗用嚟擺放阿美尼亞嘅歷史文物，仲用嚟紀念當年嘅大屠殺，要更多人知道呢段被遺忘/被掩蓋嘅慘痛歷史。
